Animation[edit]
This skill is actually animated as if it would steal life from four sources. —ZerphaThe Improver 20:48, 31 October 2007 (UTC)
- it's a very cool skill thats useful almost everywhere with low recharge and alot of health stealing :P very useful in ab --Blood Anthem 16:13, 6 April 2008 (UTC)
- yeah but it's a pity that unlike regular PBAoE spells, this one has a target cap of 1...3...4. D: —ZerphaThe Improver 16:29, 6 April 2008 (UTC)
- but it's still a very high ammount of life steal :P --Blood Anthem 16:31, 6 April 2008 (UTC)
- Planning to be in melee range is dumb as a caster, and 15e is expensive as a safety/defensive skill. Tain 16:33, 6 April 2008 (UTC)
- u dont acctually walk into melee range... but when theyre many around u its a very guud skill --Blood Anthem 16:34, 6 April 2008 (UTC)
- Tell that to the Ele running Shockwave, et al. That said, this skill is still mediocre. --SoraMitsukai 20:39, 6 April 2008 (UTC)

Spike?[edit]
Removed the note about it being a good spike, because it just plain isn't. Yes, armor-ignoring damage is all well and good, but a 60-damage pseudo-PBAoE lifetap a spike skill does not make. And this is coming from someone who used to love blood spike. --SoraMitsukai 20:42, 6 April 2008 (UTC)
Have you seen the build where about 5 N/A's jump in on a target, and use this + signet of agony for a huge AoE spike?
- The "spike" might be referring to the large amount of health you will 'gain' from using the skill. 230 hp at level 15! Isn't that worth at least noticing? 84.85.197.187 19:32, 28 March 2010 (UTC)

Hero Use[edit]
Gave this to Livia the other day and even with every other skill on her bar blocked off, full energy, and a dying health bar, she would NOT use it on her own. Has anyone found a build where heroes will use it, or enemies use it, or is the AI bugged / not there?
- I don't think heroes recognize life steal as a heal, instead seeing only the damage part. Try surrounding her with a couple of enemies. --75.71.67.5 08:25, 17 March 2009 (UTC)
- Outcast Deathhand make good use of this, so the AI is certainly there. As with many point-blank skills, it helps a lot to give such heroes melee weapons... of course that is often suicide. But, otherwise you end up with a conditional skill that will rarely be used effectively, so...meh. Vili 08:29, 17 March 2009 (UTC)

I don't think this is related to Deathly Swarm, removing.--Tyri Sunbeam 19:19, 26 June 2009 (UTC)
Early Cap[edit]
The discussion is whether Cry Darkday in Snake Dance is a valid signet of capture location. I say it is, due to the fact that often a low-level character will get a drok run, and therefore have Camp Rankor well before they get anywhere near the desert. --JonTheMon 13:40, 25 July 2009 (UTC)
- I would say that capping it from Camp Rankor doesn't happen that often, seeing as how Snake Dance is a pretty tough area for low-level characters. It seems easier to get it from Amnoon Oasis, although that requires more running. Still, I admit that it's possible. -- Hong 13:43, 25 July 2009 (UTC)
- The skills format guide is pretty vague here, probably intentionally, but since it is only possible to cap the skill in Snake Dance prior to Amnoon Oasis if you are not actually following the storyline, my preference would be to remove the cap signet. --Freedom Bound 13:51, 25 July 2009 (UTC)
- Couple things here. A low level character can still get 7 lvl 20 henchmen, so that'll aid things. And while we try not to list things out of order, Prophecies has an order issue, and so knowledge about common practices should be included, imo. --JonTheMon 13:54, 25 July 2009 (UTC)
- Fair enough. If someone wants to revert it, I'll have no objections. -- Hong 14:10, 25 July 2009 (UTC)
- Seriously, i dont think there are anybody with only proph that will need this skill so early that they will go through the trouble of henching their way to kill some boss and cap it, i mean, if you play enough to go for specific builds that will require this specific skill you probably have something more than proph, im in favor of removing it C4K3 Talk 20:41, 25 July 2009 (UTC)

- What about the skill trainer IN camp rankor? he's after amnoon, so you can get it there. --Ckal Ktak 05:27, 18 September 2009 (UTC)
