Entrance to Local quater for foreigners

Is there no other way to get to the Local quater for a non-factions character than to find a PUG doing "Mayhem in the Market" that is from Cantha? I need to access the local quater for the cartography title and don't really want to have to do mayhem in the market as it is a bit long and tedious--Stu 22:00, 29 March 2009 (UTC)

I heard there was a way of running to the entrance if certain party conditions were met, but I've ran there several times - always on ascended characters, Cathan and foreign - to a closed door with different members. I have completed Zen Daijun as a foreign character and was still denied entrance to the Local Quarter. Any ideas why this might be? Kaelyn Angelfoot 15:29, 5 December 2010 (UTC)

You need to have someone else in your party who is a Canthan native with the quest teleport you in. --Seventh 14:13, 3 June 2011 (UTC)

Given many have moved on to GW2, the developers should get rid of this restriction and allow foreign characters regular access. Lord Flynt (talk) 04:44, 11 January 2014 (UTC)

Foreigners + Local Quarter Mission

Just wanted to play the local version of the mission (did it in hm) and happened to be using a foreign character. After meeting up with Mhenlo, and after beating all the initial baddies, all of his party ran back to the gate where the foreign party comes from. Everything else proceeded as normal except I was down 1 team (and got massacred and the second major battle). Any other foreigners have this happen to them? Beregond 02:57, 20 December 2010 (UTC)

It's a pretty common AI bug, and one of many, unfortunately. Your best bet is honestly to back out and try again for an actual player. -- Traveler (talk) 04:39, 20 December 2010 (UTC)
