Talk:Words of Comfort

The description of this skill should say BUFF MEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It needs the conditional healing to stack up for EACH condition on target ally, just like Dwayna´s Kiss does on hexes and enchantments. The way it is now, none ever uses this skill though i think the concept would be rather viable if the healing power wasn´t as weak as it is at the moment. 84.145.183.229 12:25, 7 April 2009 (UTC)

I put this on a hero bar, along with a condition remover, they just spam this instead of removing the condition. 24.233.254.51 19:27, 29 May 2009 (UTC)

Its like, semi-viable while using HB, thats about it imho. ~ WELL HELLO Chao 17:44, 8 June 2009 (UTC)

Well, if you think about it, you have a whole lot more efficient condition removals than you do efficient Hex removals. I think this just needs to have the whole Conditioned condition removed. Example: Words of Comfort. Spell. 5 energy, 1s cast, 6s recharge. Target other ally is healed for 20..60..70. If that ally was below 50% health, that ally is healed for an additional 20..60..70 health.

This way, it functions like Word of Healing, it offers healing levels close to Heal Other, at half the energy, but is limited to Orison healing levels if the condition is not met. I like it, but I think it is just much smarter to use a condition removal rather than this skill as it is. FleshAndFaith 02:32, 8 November 2009 (UTC)

Considering conditions are very common and they can be quickly reapplied, in some cases instantly reapplied, removing it might be completely pointless so in some cases it's better to just benefit from it. And if you meet the condition you heal for about the same as patient spirit and ethereal light which everyone seems to drool over. This skill is perfectly fine if not one of the best healing prayer skills.141.225.77.48 06:19, 9 November 2009 (UTC)

Congratulations you figured out an elite skill is generally better than a non elite skill. Even so there are situations where words would still be better. An elite skill doesn't invalidate a non elite one. Plus restore and words aren't even related to each other so there's no real comparison in the first place.141.225.77.48 17:11, 9 November 2009 (UTC)

One Thing[edit]

That people seem to forget when comparing this skill to Dwayna's Kiss is that Words of Comfort is self targetable while Dwayna's Kiss is not. That's certainly a drawback that can't be overlooked, as it means you need some other other way to self heal.

I agree that the healing power on Words of Comfort could be bumped up a bit, probably something like 15...51...60 for the initial heal and 15...47...55 for the conditional. But as it is it easily heals in excess of 100, with the bonus from Divine Favor adding more on top. I also agree with what the poster above said about the ability for conditions to be quickly and instantly reapplied, making removal sometimes moot. In such cases, you may as well benefit from the conditions, and this skill is one way to do so. Soldier198-2 (talk) 23:58, 24 July 2021 (UTC)
