This template produces the formatting required to be able to display the special event information on the Main Page and the Login screen announcements.

It uses {{Special events calendar}} (and {{Special events lookup}}).

(And in the case of the login screen announcement format, it uses {{Special events calendar/login screen announcements}} and {{Special events lookup/login screen announcements}}.)

Parameters

date

Optional. Specify the date for which you wish to check the active events.

format

Select the desired format. Options are either "Login screen announcements" or "Main Page".
