What does this, and its sister template, accomplish? Calortalk 17:04, 8 December 2007 (UTC)

This template is - similar to {{!}} and {{pipe}} - a template to substitute parser symbols. In this case {{(}} is used to get opening double curly braces, and {{)}} for closing double curly braces. It is needed for {{setvar}} which is a workaround to use the Variables Extension inside of conditionals. poke | talk 22:20, 8 December 2007 (UTC)
I understood about half of that, but its another workaround/substitute for certain parser characters. Thought so. Thanks, Calortalk 22:24, 8 December 2007 (UTC)
It's just to prevent some calls from being executed immediately. poke | talk 22:31, 8 December 2007 (UTC)
