I plan to rework most, if not all, the explorable area maps. How I plan to do this is by using texmod to first rip the maps as bmps, touching them up in Photoshop, and then re-uploading the images as jpgs to the proper spot. I've all ready done this to the maps for the Charr Homelands, and I like what I see. We get a more complete and more clear image after it's been done.
However, the thing that bugged me was the file size. For example, the previous version of the map for Dalada Uplands was 61 KB. The new one that I uploaded was roughly the same size dimensionally, but was a whopping 406 KB! This is where I hit the problem of Quality vs. File Size. Below are a few images of the Map of Sacnoth Valley (without the text), and I just want some input from the community on which quality I should use.
