In this "book" you will find records of unusual things i have come across in Guild Wars, and anything else that takes my attention.
Unstable Fractal[edit]
I get by with a little help from a Yak[edit]
All hail Nicolas and his siege weapon Yakkington, who single handedly shut down the Luxon front!
Today I received a rather curious and somewhat shocking message that Nicolas was (inadvertently as it may be) aiding the Kurzick cause drastically. It would appear that while in the company of the Kurzicks, the Zu Heltzers more precisely, he has brokered a deal with there allies.
What started as a gift to the Count Zu Heltzer, ended up turning the war on its head. The wealthy Kurzick merchants who had amber reserves, suddenly found themselves extremely rich as demand for amber increased more then usual. This lead to an increased presence on the Kurzick front as Kurzicks and mercenaries tried to claim what amber could be found, effectively out manning the nearby Luxon forces with sheer weight of numbers and improved amber supplied defences.
Rumour has it the Luxons tried to capture Nicolas, by strapping him to the back of a siege turtle, only to have the Professor valiantly knock it onto its back, to make a swift get away with Nicolas!
Time will tell how this will effect the ongoing battle in Cantha.
Little Toy Shop of Horrors[edit]
Something unexpected and shocking occured in-game today. As I was unloading one of my mules and hopping to a city, I noticed I had a curious blue box in my inventory, on it had the label "happy 3rd birthday!" , it struck me that I had much neglected these charecters over the years and thought it would be interesting to visit each to see how well they had aged.
20 PRESENTS LATER.
Oh the horror and delight I had instore, opening each with an expectant twitch. The fates where smiling on a good many of my characters, highlights included getting my first green miniture ever, this just happened to be a Miniture Mad King Thorn, who was given to Mad King Frost for his birthday, fitting. Candysmith Santa faired well also, recieving a miniture elf to help him on his busy wintersday tasks.
I have to say I got more purples then white minitures, including the ever elusive Ooze who I had not managed to get. On coming to my last character on my Character selection screen, a paragon and also my minipet storage character, I came to a little box buried among the pile. Two beady red eyes stared up at me, The White Rabbit had infiltrated my account at last....damn Paragons...
An envoy becomes a King[edit]
I just lost the plot. I don’t know what to say. I got an NPC. Thing is it was not just any NPC, I...replaced.. The Ice King. How did I find out? I got PM'd with instructions to go to UW.... Because there was an NPC waiting for one person. I thought it was a joke, but went along with it. Then I get to the stunning Ice Wastes. A Reaper appears. So does someone else. King Frozenwind.....I apologize sincerely to my wild outburst in-game, but a King?! Me?! In the UW, ruler of all ice..........;O....
I guess I should think on what went on behind that monument to my community works. People, for years I have devoted myself to pleasing you, that was reward enough. The same basis of what I said in my event thread applies here to, the community; from 2005 to 2009 has been a labour of love to entertain. I would like to leave a message here for the many thousands of players I have had the pleasure of meeting. For the support from the community and a good amount friends, all your varied outlooks have helped me keep things running how they should, never to have a dull moment. Without you, these events would never have been so well received, In essence I did not make these events, you did, each and every one of you.
At the Live Team, thank you so very deeply for what you have given me, you have made me a very content man, and a very shocked one to!
For everything Guild Wars Community, you have my gratitude. Thank you for everything.

Commander Bladewind[edit]
Well, I did my first and last foray into hero battles yesterday. I arrived there with the sole intention of getting to rank 1 before the Hero Battle's get removed. During the course of the day I learned what the term "rr" meant. After getting called "noob" ect I asked a few friends to explain what this was all about, turns out its an exploit.....a very profitable one at that. I resumed my playing selecting key points on the map and adjusting my heroes accordingly to be succesfull at these maps, I felt some pride at defeating two or three gold trim players. It occured to me that I was always red, and in doing so, upsetting some players when I had full control of the map and they, alas, didnt have a prayer. Making full advantage of the repeatable z-bounty I gained a nice some on my way to becoming a Commander. And I do admit to "giving ground once in a while to get on the side I wanted. ( Play the enemy on your own terms right?) With 27 minutes until the next bounty, I gained rank 1. Follow me or DIE!
Oktoberfest[edit]
Today me and a friend sat at our usual haunt of Lions Arch, having a chat, being semi-afk and getting ready for Halloween. Then it suddenly occured to us that, instead of the usual traveler passing through the district, there was a full district of crazy germans franticly typing. Shortly after, everyone appeared to remove all there cloths and get drunk. When a passerby handed me a generous helping of pirate grog I thought "when in Tyria" and joined in with the drunken revelry. I still dont know what went on. Germans are awesome XD.
Feeling raw over Rawr[edit]
Today I logged on to find a curious guild guest invite "Gold Cape Collection [Rawr]" I decided to PM the invitee, to which I got told to come GVG with them, so curiosity getting the better of me I port to there GH, to, my horror, I got spammed with /rank. I then proceeded to take a look at there names, It was non other then the Rebel Rising core team...or so I thought. After requesting some hats from certain members for my nearly complete "Helm of Heroes" project, I started to get suspicious. Turns out the guild had sent invites to many known pvp players and thought to invite me as a mascot. The.Team.Was.Fake. Although I should be cross at being duped I couldnt help but laugh along with them.
The Obsidian Oath[edit]
Capture the Flag! And steal the jade?[edit]
The Rabbit Conspiracy[edit]
A warning be to ye who read these manuscripts, the truths revealed within this passage may cause the weak of heart to go mad. To those brave souls who are ignorant of the demon that is the Rabbit, read on at your peril...
Let's begin.
The dire threat rabbits pose within Tyria was first brought to my attention one fine winter's day, as a certain Snowman envoy was polishing his carrot on an ancient tree in the Norn territory. Unwisely did he think that the little furry animal that watched him with beady little eyes was harmless, to his horror he witnessed it hop not once, not twice but three times! As he stood up to look at this curios act and back away slightly the rabbit vanished in a flash of smoke and there before him floated a most dreadful demon. Quick as the wind he darted towards the entrance, but to late! The demons minions were upon him. Thrusting his hand into his pack he drew out a few Drake Kabobs and threw to the ground. He had barely escaped, you could say by the skin of your carrot. And so began the investigation into the nature of these beasts.
Evidence
Through out Guild Wars we see signs and information on these creatures, one simply has to look.
Below is a compilation of such things and what I have deduced and where to find them.
1.) As you will soon see, where there is a Rabbit, danger isn’t that far away. My first Location of research is that of the pre-searing Rabbit. As we all know Ascalon was all but destroyed, yet curiously this rabbit survived, and incidentally traveled through time to come to the Gaile Fairwell party(it has been heavily implied that The Rabbit is the same rabbit from pre-searing).This rings true as The Rabbit resides in pre-searing to this day, and never been seen in post again. It is strongly believed by myself and a certain Gaile Gray that this is the only known chronomancer in Tyria. What was it doing up on that hill the day Ascalon was obliterated, is it the harbinger of destruction? It certainly killed the audience with its rapping.
2.) White rabbits have red eyes, and during their death animation their mouth opens long enough to reveal long fangs (using the /sit command while in White Rabbit Form allows this to be more easily observed), clearly not the nicest of traits in a supposedly harmless creature.
3.) Sujun - Free the Fur Quest. "I have just learned that live rabbits are being used as bait by a hunter who wishes to capture a Yeti. As if this were not horrible enough, it seems that the scent of the rabbits is attracting all sorts of other creatures, which are attacking travelers on the road nearby. I need you to help me free the rabbits before they or anyone else gets hurt!" It would seem a rabbit's scent makes other creatures hostile. It is also to be noted that the Rabbits run to the Shing Jea Portal, surely a creature of primal instinct would run AWAY from the humans that had trapped them. I smell vengeance.
4.) Maguuma Stade, the rock of the central structure has the face of a rabbit, could it be that this is a shrine?
5.) Vael, this shady character when we first meet him is surrounded by rabbits. Trouble seems to follow him, and he has curious ways of doing things. Very rabbit like behaviour.
6.) Kitta the Norn "The wolf spirit came to me in a vision and told me I was destined to hunt Frostmaw. He also mentioned something about not eating the stewed rabbit at the victory celebration. But the point is, I will not fail!"' So, it would seem the wolf spirit of the norn knows rabbits are dangerous... to eat. Always with the danger.
7.) Tonics and Summoning Stones. I self proclaimed myself to be a prophet and I was right. On the 31st of March 2009 I adamantly warned people to beware of the rabbits. Proof of this can be found on Gaile's Talk page archives. Soon after, what do you know, the rabbits start popping up within summoning stones, deadly Rabbits. And this is the real icing on the carrot! We are now being turned into Rabbits via tonics!
8.) Minipets, Rabbit minipets. White and Brown. What a perfect way to watch us without fear of being eaten, having there own personal hero to protect there furry little hides must be handy.
9.) 2011 is the Year of The Rabbit, may the 6 True Gods preserve us all.
10.) Magi Malaquire "I see that Grenth has gained quite the foothold this season. Snow in Kryta, snow in Ascalon CIty. Why, it wouldn't surprise me to find the Tomb of the Primeval Kings frozen shut...and that's in the middle of the Crystal Desert! So you're helping a little boy make a snowman? And you're doing this for free? Well, I won't tell you your business, but maybe I can help. You're going to need a special hat, and I think I have just this thing. You see, I wasn't always a powerful all knowing Magi. Time was, I was in a flashier line of work, involving tigers, rabbits, sawing women in half...in fact, that last one was why I switched jobs. Of course, I can't wear my magic hat now. But I'm sure that it will look smashing atop your new snowman! For the children!" So I am lead to believe that the very same hat on Freezie's head is able to summon Rabbits out of it. I think Freezie might not be as nice as people are lead to believe, also sawing women in half (heavily implying that it went bad)just shows that danger and rabbits go hand in hand yet again.
Bottom line is this: Nothing good has ever come from Tyrian Rabbits. You may say The Rabbit was nice, but if you read his dialogue at the farewell to Gaile event the Frog accuses him of cheating at gambling. Nasty.
So when you are out adventuring, always be on guard, they are among us, they are watching.

Lore of The Snowman King[edit]
Brief Lore
by the Teller of Tales
Mouvelian calender - 876 AE - 1076 AE
Year by year, Daniel succumbs more and more to the winter form curse, slowly turning into a facet of ice, such is the legacy of the Lady Drakkar and King Jack Lanthorn. It is rumoured he found solace in the lair of the snowmen, where he resigned himself to his icy fate and prayed to the Gods one last time. In the faded Dwarven runes from the journal of King Hundar, it speaks that Grenth first visited this barely human man, and bid him welcome into the icy depths of the Underworld, where the Ice King awaited him. Clasping his arms (therefore solidifying them to ice) he began to draw his essence into the Underworld. If not for the timely arrival of a well placed snowball, Daniel would be no more. Overcome with sheer dumbfounded amazement, he witnessed a certain feminine elf casually saying to the Lord of Death and Ice, "Why your Godship, it seems you have a snowball on your head!"
Grenth cursed him for his fathers crimes and for resisting death, thus making him an Envoy. It would seem that Frozenwind did not fully come under Grenth's power, due to the intervention of the mysterious elf. It is known that every Envoy bears the mark of that which killed them, the ice had put Daniel at the brink, but had not killed him. It was then that Dwayna blessed him, and he became a Snowman.
Envoys are shepherds of the souls of the dead, but unlike them, Envoy Frozenwind is a shepherd of the holiday spirit. As an Envoy will appear to a newly departed soul, Envoy Frozenwind appears when festivities are on the air. His tasks on Wintersday are numerous, but the main ones are to summon the Wintersday creatures Elf and Grench alike to Tyria, remind people of what makes Wintersday and try to sway the balance in favour of Dwayna.
Frozenwind has taken up this mantle at Wintersday since before the war between Kryta and Ascalon, there are records of his original name in an ancient Ascalon census dating back to the time of the founding of Nolani, suggesting that he was once a Flaming Scepter Mage. The last known residence of this oddity of Ascalonain origin was in a tower in an area known simply as "Wizards Folly".
