Twilight gods[edit]
The twilight gods are the ones that walk the small line that lies between the light and darkness. Beings not evil nor good do as they please. Offering blessings to some and cursing others.
They’re even older than the five “true” gods and also appear to be more powerful. Seeing as only one of the twilight gods was needed to kill Dhuum who had escaped his prison. A feat that even the 5 gods of Tyria weren’t able to do.
There goals are unknown but they now walk the surface of Tyria, more and more twilight gods are awakening. They may proof to be the greatest challenge for all races that made there home in Tyria, are they able to overcome this new threat… or blessing.
Known twilight gods[edit]
Alyssa Devona (Goddess of creation and destruction)[edit]
One of the first twilight gods to make her appearance among man and so far the only female twilight god. Alyssa Devona is the one that leads the twilight gods. She is ruthless and will destroy everything and everyone that stands in her way creating a path of destruction wherever she goes. Miraculously the nature in the places she destroyed regenerate at enormous speed creating large forests with incredibly tall trees. Some even reaching to heights up the clouds in a couple of months.
She shows herself as a blindfolded young elementalist dressed in armor worn by the luxon. One of the most remarkable features are her hand that are glowing of energy. Anything that touches these hands disappear to an unknown place. The blindfold appears to be a symbol of her unable to see the rights and wrongs of the world.
Her wings enable her to fly, making her resilient to melee attacks. Also the because of the high speed that she uses to fly it is difficult to hit her with projectile attacks. She now makes her home in the hall of judgment within the underworld. Upon her arrival Grenth fled the underworld together with his reapers. Because of this Dhuum was able to break free. Only to be killed by Alyssa.
Now any player who enters the underworld and travels to the hall of judgment find himself suffering from the weak hearted environmental effect. Dropping his/her health to 1 and energy to 0. At this point Alyssa Devona will spawn and players will see the following dialogue:
“What are you puny little humans doing there. Your not worthy to be in my presence. But if you really want to proof your usefulness seek out the other twilight gods and bring me their gift. Then I might want listen to what you have to say. Now LEAVE!!!”
Upon the finishing of the dialogue players will be kicked from the underworld and will not be able to enter unless they have one of the gifts of the other twilight gods with them.
Barry Moonfang (God of ice and animals)[edit]
One of the first twilight gods to make his appearance among man. He appears to have a warm heart to animals and is merciless to those who mean to do them harm.
He shows himself to man as a young ranger dressed in an black outfit that seems to be made out of dragonscales. His wing enable him to fly so while in flight only ranged attacks and spells can hit him. He was the first to show the destructive power of the twilight gods by turning the Maguuma Shrine into an icy wasteland where he lives now.
Players that reach him will have to fight one of his aspects. Upon defeat of his aspect 10 random spirits animals spawn and players will see the following dialogue:
“I’m impressed you made it so far, you even managed to defeat one of my aspects! Believe it or not but I’m beginning to like you. That’s why I've sent you ten spirits. These spirits where once life animals but used as a sacrifice by those pesky druids. Now they are trained by me and I’m rather attached to them. Choose an animal you like and show me you’re a better human than these druids where. This is your final trial, good luck.”
