This page keeps track of some translation errors I encountered so far. Unless otherwise noted, a screenshot can usually be provided. However, I'd like to spare the bandwith and storage capacity of the servers if possible.
Unreported
I will report these as soon as I'm completely sure, they haven't been reported yet.
- Norgu uses female articles to address himself when the player charachter is female, e.g. "Die tapfere, tapfere, TAPFERE Norgu...", when writing a script for his play.
without screenshots:
- At one quest around Piken Square, it said Chaar in the text description (instead of "Charr"). I think I'll find it again soon.
- In one dialog box, there was a > at the end. I think, it was in pre-Searing, but I suppose, I'll never find that one again...
- I just remembered, encountering wrong forms of Lebenspunkt (in weapon stats) and Mondmarke (in quest rewards) - both occured in singular when they should be plural. Maybe I'll remember to take a screenie... or they're fixed already...
Unsure
I'm not really sure, if I should report these at all...
- During the Wintersday snowball fight quest at the Eye of the North an NPC appears named "Helga der Lehrling". At first I was irritated, as according to the German wikipedia "Helga" is a female name and "der" is a male article. yet, while writing this, I was wondering how it should be correctly. (Is there a female form of "Lehrling"?) Nevertheless, I just found a screenshot depicting a very female looking "Brartak der Vielfraß" (hm... also hard to find a female form...)
