The Order of Darkness was an ancient organization founded by the Shadow Phoenix. The order consisted of hundreds of thousands of members that all lived to serve the Shadow Phoenix.
The Dark Citadel[edit]
The Dark Citadel was the main base of operations of The Order of Darkness. From texts in the temple of Light, its exact location was unknown, but they knew that the citadel was located somewhere in the Shadow Realm. The Citadel was said to have been one of the most evil places in the universe. At the citadel's core is said to be the power source of the Shadow Realm, apparently an orb of pure darkness...
Members[edit]
The Phoenixual Council ordered that any known members of the order were to be captured and placed in isolation for eternity. Not very many were found.
Melinna[edit]
Melinna is a demonic hybrid who looks completely human... until her veil is removed. She was made immortal by the Shadow Phoenix for being one of the most loyal members of the order. Melinna killed many in her time, even before joining the order she was a murderous assassin. Even though she has been in captivity for thousands of years... she has not revealed the location of any of the other members.
The Dark Abbot[edit]
The Dark Abbot was the Shadow Phoenix's right hand man (or woman?). Only a rare few have actually seen the abbot, mostly members of the order that were very high ranked (such as Melinna). No records have been found on the abbot, most think it was just a myth created by the order to throw the phoenixes off. If the abbot was a real person, he/she is most likely dead now... unless...
The War[edit]
After the Shadow Phoenix was banished, the order somewhat vanished... no sign of them was really ever seen again. Guardians were sent in to raid temples that were discovered to be places where the order did their "business". Something was discovered, powerful weapons and forbidden magics. All of the things that were found pointed that the Shadow Phoenix and the order were planning a war with the other phoenixes. However, it all seemed to stop when Shadoew was banished...
