Wikis have a diverse array of editors. Each editor is unique in there own way, but most have very similar attributes and can be placed into a group. There are many different groups of editors and below we will mention a few.

The Serious Editor - Serious Editors are a group of editors who take what they do on a wiki very seriously. Serious Editors usually clash with Straightforward Serious Editors and Abhorrent Editors. They are most often good candidates for bureaucracy, because they usually choose to follow every rule and are usually not biased to content or adminship when it comes to a wiki.

The Straightforward Serious Editor - Straightforward Serious Editors are more or less rare. They take what they do on a wiki very seriously, but unlike the normal serious editor they tell you exactly what their opinion on a subject is without sugar coating it. Straightforward Serious Editors usually clash with Serious Editors, Amiable Serious Editors, and Stern Outgoing Editors. It is hard to tell whether or not Straightforward Serious Editors are good for adminship or not. While a good admin is usually a serious editor, sometimes sugar coating is needed.

The Amiable Serious Editor - Amiable Serious Editors are very common throughout wikis. They are serious about what they do, but at the same time have a need to be nice and help people. Amiable Serious Editors usually have a sense of equality between the community aspects of a wiki and a content aspects. Amiable Serious Editors usually clash with Vandals, Abhorrent Editors, and Semi-Abhorrent Editors. Amiable Serious Editors are usually good candidates for sysophood, because of there balance between content and community. However, Amiable Serious Editors would be good candidates for bureaucracy, most of them refuse the position.

The Casual Editor - Casual Editor are the most common throughout wikis, they occasionally pop by and add some content. They are very semi-active in adding content, but usually come to a wiki to look something up. Many Casual Editors do not create an account, but some do. Do to their inactivity, they most likely would not be good candidates for adminship; because adminship usually requires a large amount of activity.

The Abhorrent Editor - Abhorrent Editors (sometimes referred to as trolls) are editors who usually refuse to abide by any rules. They usually post offensive or unneeded content in a wiki. These editors usually are on a mission to make people angry. Abhorrent Editors are not good candidates for adminship, because being an admin usually requires you to follow all rules and to have a helping sense to you.

The Semi-Abhorrent Editor - Semi-Abhorrent Editors are editors who often disagree with most and/or all rules. However, unlike the Abhorrent Editor, Semi-Abhorrent Editors try to be nice when possible and are usually not trying to intentionally make someone angry. Semi-Abhorrent Editors, often do not agree with administrators and are susceptible to content and/or user disputes. Semi-Abhorrent Editors usually clash with Envisage Editors and other Semi-Abhorrent Editors. Semi-Abhorrent Editors are usually not good candidates for adminship, because they often tend to break rules and violate policies.

The Respectable Editor - Respectable Editors are editors who are often looked up to. They usually enjoy helping others and working on wikis. They usually have a positive outlook on most users and content. Respectable Editors would make great candidates for adminship of any kind; however, they usually refuse a role in adminship because of their humbleness.

The Outgoing Editor - Outgoing Editors put the community of a wiki above all else. They usually dabble with their userpages and projects in the mainspace. They usually oppose most policies, but still abide by them. Outgoing Editors do not generally add content to articles, but may do so rarely. Outgoing Editors prefer to be in a friendly wiki environment, and do not seem to speak to people who do not contribute to the friendly aspect. Outgoing Editors usually clash with Coherent Editors, Abhorrent Editors, and Semi-Abhorrent Editors. Outgoing Editors usually do not make good candidates for adminship, because of there lack of activity outside there own userspace.

The Stern Outgoing Editor - Stern Outgoing Editors put the community of a wiki above all else; however, unlike Outgoing Editors they prefer and/or like most policies. Stern Outgoing Editors are very opinionated and will only announce their opinions if they are pressed to do so. Stern Outgoing Editors usually think that everything can use a little tweaking, and anything can be made better. They are usually very good a reading a persons personality. They enjoy community related subject, but at the same time they will equally contribute to things outside of community relations. Stern Outgoing Editors are very similar to Amiable Serious Editors, but Stern Outgoing Editors care more about the community. Stern Outgoing Editors usually clash with Abhorrent Editors, Straightforward Serious Editors, and Coherent Editors. Stern Outgoing Editors usually make great candidates for adminship, because of there ability to contribute to both the community and the content.

Patrols - Patrols are editors who constantly search through recent changes to contribute to an ongoing conversation, mark a page for deletion (for whatever reason there may be), or revert the actions of a vandal and/or Abhorrent Editor. Patrols usually clash with Abhorrent Editors and/or Vandals. Patrols usually will make a great addition to the sysop team, because they can get things done quicker.

The Astute Editor - Astute Editors are very clever, they usually can figure out HTML and wiki coding in less than a few weeks. They are excellent contributers, because of there ability to look a something in a more logical sense. Astute Editors make great candidates for adminship of any kind, because of there constant need to help a wiki.

Vandal - Vandals are very similar to Abhorrent Editors. They prefer to ignore most rules and purposely try to create a sense of havoc in a wiki. They do things to purposely get on other users nerves. Vandals do not usually create an account, they prefer to stay anons. On occasion a vandal will use something called an open proxy, to avoid a block or ban.

The Envisage Editor - Envisage Editors are very similar to Astute Editors; however, unlike the Astute Editor, Envisage Editors are not only clever but also empathic. They are smart and work things out, but instead of thinking of things in a more logical sense like the Astute Editors do; Envisage Editors try to find a balance between logic and emotion. Envisage Editors would make great candidates for sysophood, and on rare occasions bureaucracy, because of their balance between the logic of a subject while at the same time, understanding people's feelings about a subject.

The Coherent Editor - Coherent Editors are very smart, they like to pick apart subjects and look at them in a logical perspective. Coherent Editors always consider logic before taking action, it is very rare for a Coherent Editor to consider emotional aspects when making a choice (but has been reported). Coherent Editors often do not get along with Outgoing or Stern Outgoing Editors. Coherent Editors have the potential to be good candidates for adminship, but it is seldom that it happens.

The Fun Loving Editor - Fun Loving Editors love a good joke. They are usually laid back and try not to get too serious about what they do. Fun Loving Editors are usually very active in the community, and get along very well with Outgoing Editors and Stern Outgoing Editors. Fun Loving Editors love to make people laugh, but they are also very good contributers when it comes to content. Fun Loving Editors have the potential to make very good sysops, but usually refuse the position.

The Outgoing Patrol - Outgoing Patrols are quite common on wikis, however unlike their Outgoing Editor cousins, Outgoing Patrols prefer to work on the community as well as patrol recent changes. They rarely contribute to content, but instead are very active in ongoing discussions, tagging, and reverting. They prefer a friendly wiki environment. Outgoing Patrols usually clash with Abhorrent Editors, Coherent Editors, and Vandals. Outgoing Patrols have the potential to make a good sysop, but would most likely not be candidates for bureaucracy.

The Serious Patrol - Serious Patrols are very similar to Serious Editors, they prefer to take everything they do on a wiki very seriously. Serious Patrols constantly search recent changes looking to revert the actions of a Vandal and/or Abhorrent Editor. However, unlike normal Patrols, Serious Patrols will seldom contribute to ongoing discussions.

The Amiable Patrol - Amiable Patrols are very kind, they try to stay out of discussions that may cause them to offend someone. They constantly search recent changes to perform the actions of a Patrol; however, unlike the normal Patrol, Amiable Patrols will usually revert the actions of a Vandal and/or Abhorrent Editor, then instead of reporting them (or blocking them if they are an admin) they will give them a friendly warning. Amiable Patrols clash with Serious Patrols, Coherent Editors, Abhorrent Editors, and Straightforward Serious Editors. Amiable Patrols are good candidates for adminship because of their selflessness.

The Freelance Editor - Freelance Editors are very unique. Each Freelance Editor is different, they cannot be contained into one specific category. Freelance Editors have the qualities of most categories. Freelance Editors can be defined into two different sub-sections:

• The Abhorrent Freelance Editor - Abhorrent Freelance Editors are usually very good contributers that can fall into most (if not all) of the above categories, but what makes them differ from Amiable Freelance Editors (see below) is they fall into the Abhorrent Editor and/or Semi-Abhorrent Editor sections. Abhorrent Freelance Editors have the potential for adminship, but it is seldom they obtain it.
  

• The Amiable Freelance Editor - Amiable Freelance Editors fall into most categories; however, they under no circumstances fall under the Abhorrent Editor, Semi-Abhorrent Editor, or Vandal sections. Amiable Freelance Editors are good candidates for adminship because of their good qualities, but there may be exceptions.
