Preface[edit]

I play this bar in RA where it packs large amounts of damage during spikes as well as providing an easy way to qknock all those annoying quarter cast spells. Some timing and weapon swaps are needed in order to be more effective.

Attributes[edit]

Variants[edit]

Equipment[edit]

  • Sentinel Insignias (mainly)
  • Stonefist Insignia on gloves, feet or headpiece
  • Weakness rune, blind rune and/or cripple rune (whatever you prefer)

  • Sundering Hammer of Fortitude (20/20 sundering, vampiric makes you lose so much health and the damage bonus is about the same: do the testing yourself)
  • Ebon Hammer of Fortitude
  • Furious Wintergreen Spear of Fortitude and Strength Shield of Fortitude
  • Wintergreen Longbow
  • Staff with faster spell recharge (for remove hex, if you want to bother)

Usage[edit]

  • KD chain is Backbreaker>Flail>Crushing Blow>Regular hammer attack>Staggering Blow>Heavy Blow for a perfect Qknock (to generalize, BB>Flail>2 normal hits and 1 quick hit in whatever order>Second hammer KD) No Qstepping is needed, only good timing when pressing your buttons. qknock will not be automatic if the KD'ed target got far from you with an IMS before you can reach him after the knockdown (timing your flail properly works on moving targets without IMS)
  • Always trigger Enraging Charge's adrenaline gain with a furious mod unless in a critical situation (getting the double adrenaline bonus will fuel your backbreaker in a single hit)(yes you can BB>Heavy>Enraging>BB>Heavy if done properly, 14 seconds on the floor)
  • Use Enraging Charge so that you hit something when the stance is almost over, this will give you a better start in Random Arenas. (every map has specific timing)
  • Semi-active lineback: spam staggering blow on enemy frontline once in a while, make sure to have it ready or almost for a kd chain when BB is charged
  • Active lineback: KD chain enemy frontlines/heavy damage dealers
  • Flail is your best friend, don't be dumb with it.
  • Tip1: if you don't feel like fake casting a rez sig for whatever reason, use Backbreaker on the rupter and proceed to rez without any worries (as long as you don't miss).
