Gay Pride Day[edit]

So what is Gay Pride Day in relation to the Guild?[edit]

Gay Pride Day marks the day that many of the Guild's original members, most of whom are no longer with us, reached Lions Arch for the first time. The reason why it is Gay Pride is because several members arrived with male necros, and in the ensuing party they discovered that /guitar looks quite interesting conga style. In all seriousness though, Gay Pride is something that is close to the heart of the Guild and encorporates our same princibles - being proud of our diversity, enjoying our diversity and knowing that our preferences cannot be changed. As a Guild, we celebrate (entirely optional like all events) with a series of games throughout the day.

The Programme[edit]

All times are GMT+1

12am - Guild cape is changed to celebrate the day

1pm - Whack a wurm competition - Shing Jea International (District TBC)

3pm - Hide and Seek - Meet in MYST Guild Hall

5pm - Whack a wurm competition - Shing Jea International (District TBC)

7pm - General Knowledge Quiz and Party - Lions Arch International (District TBC). Questions over Alliance Chat.

12am - Guild cape reverted

Whack a wurm[edit]

Using the Dragon's Nest Arena, we'll try to get the quietest district possible. Everyone will be given some sugary item and entry to the Dragon's Nest. After each game, the winner will recieve a small cash prize, with the person who gains the most points after 5 or 7 games (depending how long it takes) will recieve a minipet and a small cash prize. Cup optional!

Hide and Seek[edit]

Few rules with Guild Hide and Seek - Name your continent and stick to International District 1. While in Factions, the area is limited to Shing Jea Island and Kaineng (storyline up to Arborstone), and while in Nightfall, the area is limited to Istan, Kourna and Vabbi. Winners will recieve a small prize.

Quiz[edit]

The quiz will be a 15 question general knowledge quiz. There is 1k given away per question and a minipet to the person with the most correct answers. Jonny starts on -5 to even things ;) (Only joking hun, but you are scarily fast)

Hope to see everyone around during this day of celebration!

The Alliance Championship[edit]

What is it?[edit]

Its a new friendly competition between teams of members of the alliance for a small prize. The champions are decided in a few hours after a league style competition, with each team playing the others once. This will be the first time we've held something of this size or type, and if it is sucessful, we'll make it a yearly or twice yearly event.

When are we doing it?[edit]

The day of the 18th August (Saturday) early afternoon UK time within the MYST guild hall. Depending on the number of people who sign up, the entire event should be over within 2-3 hours

What do I get for playing?[edit]

The chance at being named a Champion, and a prize. The prize will depend on the number of people playing. As well as prizes for winning, there are prizes for things like having the most original build - the idea is to have fun first and be sucessful second.

Rules:[edit]

Individuals will sign up for this event in advance so they can be put in a team. As long as you put your name in this thread before Sunday 11th August UK time, you are guarenteed to play. While I will try to accomodate people signing up after then, you are not guarenteed to play.

Teams of 3-4 members will be chosen at random from those who applied and a list posted here Sunday 12th August. This will enable people to get together and make a build ready for Saturday. Remember there is a prize for originality.

My decision is final. Complaints and appeals should be made through your respective Guild Leaders, but I reserve the right to stick by my decision. MYST members should make their complaints to a designated officer (TBC).

All players will stick to the EULA and show good sportsmanship at all times. This means no offensive character names, swearing, or offensive terms (yes "noob" and variants is offensive). Banter is encouraged but should be kept clean.

On the day, each team is required to be present half an hour before the first match. If your entire team is not there, then new teams will be remade. If you know you are going to be late, are stuck in a mission etc please let me know and I will try to rearrange things. --The preceding unsigned comment was added by User:Tasha Darke .
