Hi,you oldschool :x ? Lilondra User Lilondra Sig.jpg*poke* 16:14, 25 July 2009 (UTC)
Sorta. I've been around since a month or so after Prophecies realeased; it's just my opinion that perfecting the original content would be better than introducing a lot of new mechanics that don't play well with the old. Aevar talk contribs 14:25, 27 July 2009 (UTC)
I've been playing since factions so all my oldschool obsessions came because some guy told me and research :p fav build is galewar :x Lilondra User Lilondra Sig.jpg*poke* 15:29, 27 July 2009 (UTC)

From Regina's Talk[edit]

Just in response to that section on your user page, please see: Crippling Para. It is an identical bar (with both brace yourselves and harriers toss being included within the variants section). Not saying you didn't create it matey, just saying that your bar isn't similar to a PvX bar (as you said on your page), it's identical to one. -- Salome User salome sig2.png 15:25, 4 October 2009 (UTC)

This is perfectly true. I think that variants section pretty much touched on all the decent choices for the remainder of that skill bar though; I guess I could have picked something funkier. To be honest, I didn't expect to win with this submission; rather I was relying on: a Cripslash bar with Tiger's Stance, Antidote Signet, and Rush, a mesmer bar with I believe Cry, 1 enchantment strip (don't remember), and Expel Hexes, a sprint WoH bar with 2 hex removers, and I think I submitted a weak version of Cripshot that had lacked D-shot. I crafted my builds with AI in mind and I didn't want something that'd be too strong or wouldn't work well with the AI, such as Frenzy warriors. I wasn't trying to mirror PvX with the Paragon bar, I was merely trying to pick skills I thought would work well on an AI. By chance, a good bar means it's already got a PvX equivalent. Again, I'm likely to be disqualified, but we'll see. Aevar talk contribs 16:22, 4 October 2009 (UTC)

I have to say, the build you submitted is the least meta-esque build that was posted, and tbh, if hero's spam Crippling Anthem and maintain AR, it is probably one of the only ones they will use well(ish). Also it isn't your fault that 4/5 skills are on every staple paragon bar, that's Arena-Nets fault in the first place. Frosty 17:58, 4 October 2009 (UTC)

Aevar don't get me wrong. I don't want you disqualified. Everyone who won should get the rewards as stated. My concern isn't even with those who did copy PvX. My concern is that game balance is so broken that the only valid bars in existence for PvP are all on PvX wiki and even with the entire community working together on it we can not create truly new ones. With over 1200 skills to draw from, this should not be the case however so many of the skills are broken that people have no choice but to continually run the same builds over and over. Thus my comment is not about your bar being a pvx bar, my comment is about the fact that their is such limited utility within pvp now, that the winners can not avoid using pvx bars and still remain competitive, which is a sad state of affairs to be in. -- Salome User salome sig2.png 21:06, 4 October 2009 (UTC)
I disagree, but not completely. Paragons only have a small selection of useful skills, and on heroes, they actually work and aren't abusable (this is why nobody uses paragon heroes). On other professions however (especially ele, dervish, ranger, and mesmer) there are tons of useful skills that all got discarded in favor of metagame bars (like 3 heat eles). Original and effective builds for some professions are very possible, but Anet chose to instead just pick what people were already running, which is the stupidest option they could have made for this particular contest (the point of which was to remove what made heroes imbalanced, not to change heroes' names and appearances). ~Shard User Shard Sig Icon.png 21:17, 4 October 2009 (UTC)
And that Salome, I agree with entirely. Aevar talk contribs 02:26, 5 October 2009 (UTC)
@Shard; it did surprise me to see human meta-bars like Shock Axe. I'm pretty sure the AI will mess it up badly. If they do an AI update that makes it work, I'll be genuinely impressed. Aevar talk contribs 05:52, 5 October 2009 (UTC)
no1 has said its seems well done for winning :) --Nick123 User Nick123 sig.jpg 17:38, 6 October 2009 (UTC)

Changing email[edit]

you can change the email address on an acconut as long as the other (old address) person doesn't contest it -- it might have been too late for the contest, but in the future. 71.146.86.174 00:02, 8 October 2009 (UTC)
