Returning to Pre[edit]

Would be a nice feature to be added. The ability to do so, I mean. You can go back to Istan and Shing Jae, the initial areas of the other two campaigns, so it'd be nice to be able to go back to pre-Searing Ascalon as well. Lorewise maybe it can be via flashback or somethiing, to explain how you get there. So you can move characters back and forth between pre and post like with Istan and Shing Jae. Like how when you bring characters from other campaigns to Ascalon, it says you're reliving previous events. And maybe add a Xunlai storage vault to pre, as well as dye and material traders and the like since there are so many permapre characters. Again, Istan and Shing Jae have those, so it seems only fair to have them in pre as well. Just a suggestion that hopefully Anet will consider. --Axwind 18:38, 23 April 2009 (UTC)

Lvl 20 w/ elites in pre with Nicholas farming, yeah... not gonna happen. The reason why Pre-searing doesn't have such things, while Istan and Shing Jea does, is because there is no time gap between Istan and Shing Jea (time gap meaning that there is no "unplayable" timezone in those games, not meaning that no/so little time passes). However, there's two years (at the end of EN, about 8 years). Only way to do that without major exploitation would be to have the level reduced to one, and given temporary starter armor again. But then it would be rather pointless in regards to how much work it is sure to require - when one can simply make a new character. Also, I think you should do a page like User: Axwind/Suggestions, instead of put it on your talk page :P (I got here from patroling the recent changes page >_>). -- Azazel The Assassin\talk 21:58, 23 April 2009 (UTC)
Oh, okay. Didn't know that was how suggestions were being done now. But with the time gap, that's why I said to come up with a way to explain how it's possible. But pre's a popular place even without Nicholas, I just thought it would be nice to find a way to let characters who've already moved on to go back and forth so they're not totally cut off. Especially since permapres can't take advantage of the new features in the update. --Axwind 00:30, 24 April 2009 (UTC)

Unrestricted Stylist[edit]

Something I noticed about the stylist, you can still only choose from appearance options available to your primary profession. That is, for instance, you can't give an elementalist a ranger's hair or a mesmer's face. I'm sure there's probably technical reasons for that, but I thought I'd point it out just the same. It seems like, if the stylist function could be expanded and all possible appearance options made available to all professions (aside from those of the opposite gender, obviously), it would allow for even more variety in character appearance.
