images[edit]

Images you have uploaded are in violation of the wiki's policies due to image naming, and is therefore up for deletion. Any image that is going to be used only for guild or user pages need to follow a specific naming pattern, to ease maintenance. Please see the image policy. Fall 08:16, 30 October 2007 (UTC)

image uploading[edit]

Hey, if you're uploading images for your user space - anything on your user page or subpages of it - they need to be named in a specific way. You'll want to name them User Chan descriptive name; the User Chan is required so they won't be deleted. If you need any more info, see GWW:IMAGE#User_page_images, or ask here or on the Help:WIKI page. As it is, you'll need to re-upload your images named correctly. Thanks. - THARKUN User Tharkun sig.png 09:15, 28 March 2008 (UTC)

Also, if you don't want to have to resize and re-upload images in general, you can specify the size when you place the image. Just do something like [[Image:filename.ext|000px]], replacing the 000 with however many pixels wide you want the image to be. Or, you can do [[Image:filename.ext|000x111px]] and it will be no wider than 000 pixels and no higher than 111 pixels, but it will keep the aspect ratio (ie, it won't stretch or distort it). You can find this stuff at Wikipedia image help and Wikipedia image syntax, if you're curious for more. Hope that's of some help. - THARKUN User Tharkun sig.png 09:27, 28 March 2008 (UTC)

User pages[edit]

All your user pages has to follow the naming scheme User:Chan/<name here> to separate it from main game content. I moved Treath to User:Chan/Treath for you, please try to follow this scheme in the future :) - anja talk 09:46, 28 March 2008 (UTC)

Moved you char page accordingly, to: User:Chan/I Wear A Skirt Xp. Backsword 11:59, 28 March 2008 (UTC)

Also User:Chan/Not Known yet. Backsword 12:02, 28 March 2008 (UTC)

Please. Read this and stop creating new ones ouside your userspace. We will just have to move those too. Backsword 12:11, 28 March 2008 (UTC)

By the way, if you want to know more about userpages and what they should follow, read Guild Wars Wiki:User pages. If you need any help, just ask :) --User Brains12 Spiral.png Brains12 \ Talk 13:41, 28 March 2008 (UTC)

Also, please remember to tag your images with {{user image}} and/or {{screenshot}} in the summery before you hit the upload them to categorize them correctly. Thanks. --People of Antioch talk User People of Antioch sig.png 15:27, 28 March 2008 (UTC)

If you have already uploaded the image without a tag: go to the image's page -> hit edit -> then type in the correct tags (like the ones I mentioned above). --People of Antioch talk User People of Antioch sig.png 15:36, 28 March 2008 (UTC)

Why hello there[edit]

Re: Lol (:[edit]

I suck at all that page stuff, too complicated for me lol Supercharged Tidus 02:53, 23 July 2009 (UTC)

Sig[edit]

Two points from GWW:SIGN:

  1. Your sig may include 1 small image, not 2.
  2. The file must be unique to you. Rather than continue to use Jette's signature icon, you need to reupload it ("File:User Chan sig.png" would be fine) and then redirect it to your userpage (by typing "#redirect User:Chan" on the file page).

Thanks, – Emmett 12:58, 28 August 2009 (UTC)

Removing talk page content[edit]

Sorry, but you cannot simply remove talk page content. See Help:Archive for instructions on how to properly archive it. Thanks! -- Wyn User Wynthyst sig icon2.png talk 14:58, 5 July 2010 (UTC)
