Don't fully agree[edit]

I do think that only full armor sets should be displayed and no mixtures. Mixture of set pieces wouldn't easily be created either. If you look at the collector's edition pages of the new armors of for example Factions, you'll notice the picture that is displayed in the books is the same as in the HoM. They are using the original design 3D version of the full sets and I don't think you can easily make mixtures of them, although I could be wrong ;-). But what I would like to suggest is that if you obtained a ranger FoW armor, that it would be the ranger fow armor that is displayed instead of the ritualist and assassin FoW armor. People worked hard for those sets and bought them because they like them that much. Some might like the ranger armor a lot while they aren't fond at all of the assassin armor..So what's it doing up there on the display? Just my 2 censt =) I'm at confident A'net will make some changes to HoM, because they do listen to their players =) --User Tribina Mulogo.jpg (Tribina / talk) 21:52, 27 August 2007 (UTC)

I personally don't have any armor sets that I mix and match, so I'd be perfectly content with that. I've just heard a lot of people talking about how they run 100% of the time with a few different pieces for looks sake. I'll make an addendum to that section -elviondale (tahlk) 22:22, 27 August 2007 (UTC)
Probably best that we let Anet know that what us players think about all the current stuff and how we want it improved first. But just for the record I would REALLY love to see festival hats included in the HoM, Ive said this numerous times in a couple places scattered over the wiki, but I just thought I would take the opertunity to say it again. :) As for displaying armors properly, Absolutly I was quite surprised when I put my marhans in and I got an ele armor pop up on my warriors monument. ^^ --Alien User Alien Sig.png 22:37, 27 August 2007 (UTC)
I posted a suggestion for this monument elsewhere that I'll repeat here. If I recall correctly, the armor set displayed at this monument is a new model that shows two samples of the armor type on a little stand. So it's no wonder it doesn't show the exact armor set you have -- I don't know how many elite sets are in the game, but we'd probably be talking about creating ~70 new models to display there. But what if instead, it "bronzed" your character in whatever you're wearing at the time? So if you want to display the elite armor you're wearing, it takes your character model in your current armor, and just retextures it with a bronze finish to make you look like a statue. No new models would need to be created, just one texture, and the only data that would need to be stored would be your character design & armor set. It would be both more personal and easier on the model designers. Bcstingg 18:57, 28 August 2007 (UTC)
Precisely- Take the character, add the armor, and apply a filter that gives a bronzed look. Not too difficult when all it requires is one texture overlay -elviondale (tahlk) 19:43, 28 August 2007 (UTC)
I don't know about you guys, but personally I mix armor, and I do it... Constantly. Nearly all of my 12 characters use mixed armor. For example. My ritualist uses Elite canthan head, Elite Kurzick chest, Elite Luxon leggings, and Obsidian Boots/gloves. I would highly appreciate a feature to display your "personalized" armor set, even if it requires you only use "elite" armor sets. That would be limiting (as some of my characters have non-elite armor mixed-in as well) But I could find acceptable solutions that I would enjoy. That would also allow you to display EoTN headgear and gloves, and if you were allowed a single set of "personalized" armor, I would greatly appreciate that, although I don't know if anet could add this feature. Though I would much prefer it to the only other solution, being purchasing the remaining pieces (and would take a deal of time, seeing as I don't exactly have the money for the rest of the obsidian and 3 sets of 15k armor lying around) but until I get the funds to do so, I can't display anything at all. I don't mean to complain, because I realize that this may not be an easy feature to add, however I know many people who use mixed armor as well, and belive this would be a good feature. 76.173.217.181 08:03, 3 October 2007 (UTC)

Deldrimore Armor[edit]

What about the dwarves? :] :] I think Deldrimor armor should be displayed, maybe a "generic" version of the armors? 65.24.106.106 23:28, 22 October 2007 (UTC)

Festival Hats[edit]

Ok i can't decide if this fits more in this part of the Hall or over with the mini pets, but why don't they allow us to add our festival hats to the hall. We showed up to get them and I think that would be really cool if A-net allowed us to get them from the start and not have to wait for each even to come around again. — Renuro Seru User Seru Sig2.png Talk 21:22, 30 May 2008 (UTC)
