Hi and welcome to GWW, If your gonna use images for your user page they need to be uploaded with the name User <username> <image>. For example if i was to upload a image it would be named User Kurd HealMonkey.jpg. Pay attention that is doesn't exceed 100kb.Your current one is up for tagged for delete. Also when editing pages use the "Show Preview" button or else you will flood the Recent changes. If there is anything else you want to know just leave a note on my talk page. Have fun and enjoy your stay ~ KurdKurdsig.png 21:22, 4 July 2007 (UTC)

Ok, thanks for informing me.Ranger-icon-small.pngBlackie 02:22, 5 July 2007 (UTC)
Another thing, your signature must contain your full user name according to GWW:SIGN ~ KurdKurdsig.png 11:09, 5 July 2007 (UTC)
That is true, but it also says, according to GWW:SIGN, that I am allowed to customize my signature through my "Nickname", which is exactly what I did.Ranger-icon-small.pngBlackie 19:33, 5 July 2007 (UTC)
No, you misunderstood the policy, it says you can put your custom sig in the Nickname field at your preference(Button at the upper-right corner). It also says: Using a nickname which hides your true user name or suggest that you are another user are seen as disruptive and are not allowed.. ~ KurdKurdsig.png 20:02, 5 July 2007 (UTC)
Is this any better?Ranger-icon-small.pngBlackie ewilson92 20:11, 5 July 2007 (UTC)
Hmm cant see anything that goes against that. tnx ~ KurdKurdsig.png 21:27, 5 July 2007 (UTC)
May I ask why you register yourself under User:Ewilson92 and use a different nickname (User:Blackie)? Couldn't you have started by registering under User:Blackie?
Also be aware that GWW:SIGN specifically states that if you use a different (meaning "shortened version of") name than your registered name, you HAVE to register THAT name as well and use a redirect to your primary username. (See the 2nd bullet @ GWW:SIGN#Appearance_and_color.) Unfortunately, nothing is said about using a totally different, or even a lengthened version of your username... -- CoRrRan (CoRrRan / talk) 21:52, 5 July 2007 (UTC)

I need a template

I can't seem to figure my way around the HTML puzzle of creating Tables, Frames, and aligning them. Could someone help me, please? Either leave me a comment with some basic frame/table/alignment code, or create a really cool template for me. Choice # 2 would be really great =D. Thanks. Ranger-icon-small.pngBlackie ewilson92 20:30, 5 July 2007 (UTC)

What do you mean with templates? Userboxes?, i could help you if you could give me a example ~ KurdKurdsig.png 21:27, 5 July 2007 (UTC)
Multiple user boxes would be nice. One for each of my listed characters.(4) I really just need the color, and the clean up. I want to be able to put 2 side-by-side with 2 rows. (example:Ranger and warrior beside each other, with the assassin and monk beside each other, but below the other 2) Also, I want tot be able to put my bio, "blackie", and to do list in seperate boxes as well. Ranger-icon-small.pngBlackie ewilson92 21:30, 5 July 2007 (UTC)

Try this:

{| width="100%" style="background: transparent;"
| valign="right" style="background: <BACKGROUND COLOUR>; border: 2px solid BORDER COLOUR; padding: .5em 1em; -moz-border-radius: 1em;"|
 TEXT 'nd stuff HERE
|}

Creating New Pages

How might I go about creating new pages? Mainly for my guild.Ranger-icon-small.pngBlackie ewilson92 21:33, 5 July 2007 (UTC)

http://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/<PAGENAME> and press create/edit. Guild need to start With Guild: example Guild:Rurik's BodyGaurds. ~ KurdKurdsig.png 21:38, 5 July 2007 (UTC)
OK. Thank you.Ranger-icon-small.pngBlackie ewilson92 21:41, 5 July 2007 (UTC)

Ranger color template

Sorry to bother you again. May I ask that you move Template:Ranger-color to somewhere within your user namespace, for example User:Ewilson92/Ranger-color? You can then access it by using {{User:Ewilson92/Ranger-color}}. Currently, this wiki already has a template for the ranger color: {{R-color}}. Since this color differs from yours, by putting your template into your user namespace you can still have access to it, and the wiki won't have to deal with 2 different color-templates. -- CoRrRan (CoRrRan / talk) 22:00, 5 July 2007 (UTC)

I'm sorry, but I have no idea what you just said...Ranger-icon-small.pngBlackie ewilson92 22:02, 5 July 2007 (UTC)
Which part? -- CoRrRan (CoRrRan / talk) 22:11, 5 July 2007 (UTC)
Mainly all of it. Why are you talking about the ranger color? Why should it be part of my name? And why do I have to use the ranger color?Ranger-icon-small.pngBlackie ewilson92 22:12, 5 July 2007 (UTC)
OK, did you make this page: Template:Ranger-color? If yes, would you mind if I moved the page from the main namespace to your user namespace? The problem is, that there is already a template for the ranger color. This can be found here: {{R-color}}. If you look closely, you'll notice that the color is different from the one you created. By moving your created template to your user namespace, you can still use it.
I really hope this was more clear to you. -- CoRrRan (CoRrRan / talk) 22:15, 5 July 2007 (UTC)
Oh, yeah. Move it, by all means. I didnt realize i had done anythink like that. I was just playing around in the sandbox.Ranger-icon-small.pngBlackie ewilson92 22:18, 5 July 2007 (UTC)
OK, kewl. You can also say that you don't require the page anymore and then I can even tag it for deletion. But I'll move it for now.
Another thing that I noticed, is that you have uploaded some images, but those images are not conform GWW:USER and GWW:GUILDS. They will have to be re-uploaded again using the correct names. Can you do that please? Images you are going to use on your userpage should be named like this: "User Ewilson92 <filename>.<extension>". Images you are going to use for your guildpage, should be named "Guild <guild name in full> <filename>.<extension>". -- CoRrRan (CoRrRan / talk) 22:22, 5 July 2007 (UTC)
So, instead of calling the image "BlackHawkArcher.jpeg", I should name it "User: ewilson92 blackhawarcher.jpeg"?Ranger-icon-small.pngBlackie ewilson92 22:26, 5 July 2007 (UTC)
Almost, you do not have to use ":" in the image-name. Just User Ewilson92 blackhawarcher.jpeg is sufficient. -- CoRrRan (CoRrRan / talk) 22:38, 5 July 2007 (UTC)
ok, how should i go about re-uploading them?Ranger-icon-small.pngBlackie ewilson92 22:44, 5 July 2007 (UTC)

(Reset indent) You can just use the Special:Upload-link, re-upload the images from your harddisk to the correct name (make sure to double check the "Destination filename"-field) and update the pages that use those images. Then you can tag the old images using the {{delete}}-tag and a sysop will remove the old and incorrectly named images for you. -- CoRrRan (CoRrRan / talk) 22:48, 5 July 2007 (UTC)

User pages

Hi, I have moved your character page to User:Ewilson92/Rogue Painful Mind. Please keep all user pages within your own user namespace (meaning all your pages but be under "User:Ewilson92/"). Thanks. -- ab.er.rant sig 02:53, 6 July 2007 (UTC)

Also, for future uploads, please add the {{user image}} tag to all images that you upload for your personal use. I've done it for your character images. -- ab.er.rant sig 02:56, 6 July 2007 (UTC)
Hi, I know you're probably irritated by me now. But guild images use {{guild image}} instead. Fixed it for you. -- ab.er.rant sig 03:11, 6 July 2007 (UTC)
No, its ok, im not irritated. Just a little lost. I apologize, but it might take me a while to catch on to all of the wiki-rules :PRanger-icon-small.pngBlackie ewilson92 03:13, 6 July 2007 (UTC)
