Hey, don't worry about your image - Image:User Great Darkwolf Wolf.jpg. The server has an image caching issue that prevents it from showing the correct image. Give it an hour or two and it'll be fine. -- ab.er.rant 05:45, 11 January 2008 (UTC)
- Could you re-upload your two new images to use the user image naming convention? You got the first one (above) correct. Thanks. -- ab.er.rant 14:42, 15 January 2008 (UTC)

Alliance Overhall + Guild Suggestions
Allainces right now seem somehwat useless, you get a network of guilds (pretty good), skirmishes (also good) and sub-ins for GvG, (ok option). Alliance battles dont even have anything to do with your alliance and are a total peice of junk. 98% of all groups in alliance battles are just 4 random people stuck together with 2 other groups probably formed the same way. These 3 groups will in turn splinter into single people or mob up. The loners will go do their own thing and only pick up w ith more people to take a control point. The only real skill comes from making a good 1 vs 1 build, which usualy ends up being useless when you get double teamed by 3 or more people. They are simply broken.
The Alliance needs a bit or restructing.
- An Alliance should no longer consist of only 10 guilds, but something like 20-25.
- Add multiple Alliance chat channels to cope with the massive amounts of people that could be using it.
- It should not cost anything to assemble an Alliance and should not require the guild leader of the leading Guild to invite people, maybe officers of the leading Guild can do it too.
- A way to denote being in an Alliance, maybe an Alliance badge?
- Add an Alliance Hall
- Leader of leading Guild Controls who in his Guild has power in Alliance
Alliance Hall
Town
- Should be more hall like. Something like a great hall found in a castle or a large enclosed coartyard.
- Several Variations of Alliance hall but not many
- NPC's like those found in Guild halls - would only be added if the majority of the guilds or a set number have purchased the upgrade
- Bulletin Boards - a place for Guilds to post Alliance related announcements and leave other notes, one per guild.
- Bulletin board would be placed in Guild's Guild Hall until they join an Allaince, in which case it would also be located in the Alliance hall.
- Guild members can only change their own bulletin board and cannot remove/edit other guild members posts and such unless of certain rank.
- Perhaps an Allaince or Guild wide storage
Battle Ground
- Somewhat larger than current Alliance Battle maps
- Battle ground would contain the opposing side's Alliance Hall
- Would contain Town portion of the hall and would be the starting point
- Not accessable from town
- Rabdom between a small number of maps
- Seige weaponry - anti mob
Alliance Battles
- teams of 8 or 12 and 1 Tactician (maybe teams of 4)
- 24 or 48 people (2/4 teams of twelve or 3/6 teams of 8)
- All teams would be preassembled and collected in the Alliance hall
- Atleast one team from a different Guild, tactician may be from any guild, even one sending a team to the Alliance Battle
- Tactician's character does not appear in battle.
- Tactician will command from an overhead view similar to that of an RTS.
- Control Points - Provide NPCs that will defend the point, and some that will move with the party that captured it
- Ends in Victory for the first team to capture the other side's hall while still controlling their own
- If a team captures the other sides hall, and looses theirs, they will win once they regain their own, as long as they still control the enemies' hall
- Seige Weaponry - Pretty slow rate of fire, Aimable, not quite as damaging as those found in current GvG maps
- Seige Weapon Crews - may not leave Equipment. Can be allowed to fight back if attacked. If killed the weapon my function slowly or not at all if enough are killed
- Tactician - Independant of a team, one per side. Aims and fires seige weaponry. Controls and NPCs at hall or at control points
- If a control point is lost, any NPCs that were left to defend it are also lost. Half the remaining NPCs following a player team are also lost
- At 1 or 2 hour mark, Victory or Death is called - similar to that of GvG. All NPCs rush the center at the same time, or only a short time between waves
- Team holding the most Control Points when VoD is called gain a damage bonus on top of that issued by VoD
Alliance Faction
- No longer Faction Specific
- Still used to control towns and gain bonuses and such
- Does not go away with time
- Gained for killing players or NPCs (more for players) in an Alliance Battle and for winning one.
- Lost for loosing an Alliance Battle
- Faction for winning added directly to Alliance total
- Faction for every kill is given to the player to spend on special items (like those for current GW faction benifits) or may be added ot the Alliance total
- No title for Alliance faction gained or turned in to the Alliance
Some General Guild Stuffs
- Should be rather hard to make a Guild so as to disuade most poeple from doing it. This would increase the number of people wanting to join and decrease the number looking for more members. Guilds would actualy grow even if they are small
- Max Guild size of 250
- More and atleast semi customizable ranks
- A way to denote Rank - Slightly different cape, badge, ect
- Perhaps a slightly personalizable cape
The purpose of reformating Alliances and Alliance battles would be to add greater function and more flexibility to Alliances, and to restore the Tactical side of Alliance comabat. Plus, a good Guild/Alliance is hard to get going and maintain, as almost anyone can and does make their own guild/alliance, so most never get off the ground. Heck, I know quite a few people who make one just to have a cool cape/tag. I know its a lot, but please, let me knwo what you think, or add to the list. --Wolf 20:31, 10 June 2008 (UTC)

- Well, first consider the fact that this account is used by a few of my friends for a few reasons. I told them not to post using it after I resigned from posting anywere but by talk. One of them must have forgot to log-out before posting. I'll have to talk to him....... If that happens again, don't mind it, or drop me a post here. --Wolf 17:25, 20 June 2008 (UTC)
- Oh! :) Alos, I'm sorry if I sounded persecute-y or anything; I was just feeling silly when I said that anyhow and then was thinking more about it. --Star Weaver 17:27, 20 June 2008 (UTC)

Random Note
"On a final note, if I am at any point, out of line, or causing trouble, don't be afriad to let me know. I don't want to be that guy." (from talk thingie) -- Well' you're not an entitled self-righteous elitest creature who thinks you represent all players of "value" to the game just because you opened your mouth, so ... :D --Star Weaver 15:24, 18 June 2008 (UTC)
- well, the trick comes from the fact that I am attempting to talk for myself and several of my friends who have all conveyed their thoughts to me. Thanks for droppin by =D --Wolf 15:32, 18 June 2008 (UTC)
Your excessive use of smilies...
Makes me very happy. It's like I'm always so cold, and then I look at anything you write, and you just seem so warm and happy. Thank you. Vael Victus 00:48, 24 June 2008 (UTC)

- I'm putting forth a lot of effort trying to maintain as pleasant an attitude as possible when speaking with some people that realy know how to get under your skin. It's good to know that isn't going to waste and that there is atleast one person who appriates it. For that, I thank you very very much. --Wolf 14:33, 24 June 2008 (UTC)

The smilie --> =D <-- help it achieve world domination (use legitly) --Wolf 14:46, 24 June 2008 (UTC)
- There's
basillegitmate use of smilies? $D --Star Weaver 15:43, 24 June 2008 (UTC)- Kinda, when you use em for the sake of using them and aren't ment to convey emotion in anyway, as conveying emotion is the general use of smilies. --Wolf 15:46, 24 June 2008 (UTC)
Dumbing Up Gaming
Have you read it? What do you think?
I would love to hear your thoughts.

- Wow I liked that article. Good find. Show that to the devs of GW. xP Vael Victus 13:29, 17 June 2008 (UTC)
- Well, I tried a bit of an indiect way, I'm about to post it on Regina's talk and see if she will spread it around, or even read it, bt even if she doesn't, I'm sure a lot more people will. Anyway, please, pass that on to anyone you know for me. =D --Wolf 13:47, 17 June 2008 (UTC)
- This article was awesome! It really bugs me when before a game even comes out, they have a Prima official guide. It's so stupid, the game is much more fun when you play through it and figure things out on your own. Just today I beat Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess. Sure it took me close to 40 hours (total, not consecutive) to beat the game. But guess what? I got to the end boss with 18 of 20 Heart Containers, and I have slain 53 of 60 poes, all without a strategy guide! And you bet your fanny I am proud of that accomplishment!!! I absolutely despise how people who have no knowledge of the lore, skill usage, type matchups and etc do so well in DoA just because they have an over-powered skill available at their disposal. I refuse to run Ursan, and I CANNOT ever find a party without it. It's funny, I'll say "R10 looking for more for solo farming" and I get like, 3-5 requests almost immediately. Then I ping my real build, and get the boot. Still, I refuse to play the dumbed down, "no skill, no brain, no problem" builds. No fun. Thanks for a great article! I hope they make Ursan -4 energy regen, and disabled for 120 seconds like Forms. Then it'll force people to come up with at least half a useful build to survive for those 2 precious minutes. --ChristopherRodrigues 00:54, 18 June 2008 (UTC)

The Devs
Still Rootin for em. Are you?
- Especially considering the WHINE they have to put up with, yes ... --Star Weaver 15:24, 18 June 2008 (UTC)
- "Rooting for em" makes it sound like they're in some sort of competition. What are they competing in? If thats not what you mean, what exactly are you rooting for? — Teh Uber Pwnzer 05:17, 19 June 2008 (UTC)
- I was trying to be encouraging. The devs are getting a lot of heat from us players, and they have done a pretty good job so far. Heck, people are pretty much flaming all the devs when I bet about 10% or less took the game in the direction its going. I also bet around 5% of the devs are responsible for the cork in the bottle-neck of information flow on GW2. --Wolf 13:56, 19 June 2008 (UTC)
- They stand as one or they don't stand at all in my book, praise or flame at least people are passionate. I'm still rooting for them even if I am very critical of them right now, hasn't always been the case, they've produced a good game for the most part, there are issues I have with some of their choices right now, but I'm sure in time when things are revealed for their nature things will calm. 118.92.214.163 11:49, 22 June 2008 (UTC)
