Archiving[edit]
Help:Archiving That page should tell you everything you need to know about creating an archive page for a discussion. -- Wyn talk 10:14, 22 September 2009 (UTC)
Archiving, since you still don't get it[edit]
An archive is where you put old content, not current content that you are trying to ignore. Treat that talk page like any other on the wiki - personal attacks and the like can be removed (though preferably by sysops), but everything else, even if you disagree with it, needs to stay.
You're both bad at discussing changes. You both focus on talking about each other instead of the skills. That still doesn't give you the right to shove comments under the rug instead of replying to them, and it definitely isn't acceptable to try to get the last word in by shoving it under the rug immediately after you post a response. Again, move only old content into archives, and if personal attacks or policy violations are a problem, notify a sysop, but do not remove discussion because you can't debunk it. -Auron 03:26, 23 September 2009 (UTC)
- Had absolutely nothing to do with an inability to debunk it - thats why the archive is there, it's existence debunks everything he says. I'm simply moving anything that isn't directly discussing the suggestions into that archive as it is instantly a dead discussion. Nothing in what he wrote had anything to do with the suggestions, and it will keep the discussion page cleaner. He's welcome to actually discuss the changes without personal attacks and I will leave it as is.
- Besides, he said nothing new, therefore it was old ;) IKenshinHimuraI 03:35, 23 September 2009 (UTC)
- Of the five sections you archived, three of them are you and me (and others) discussing some or all of your changes, and all of them have had posts within the last two days. Saying they're inactive is a lie, and saying they have nothing to do with the page is just plain stupid. Also, you've called me a rambling idiot at least twice, and I have not attacked you at all, so please, pull your head out of your ass. I want to have a discussion with you, but you refuse the offer every single time. You aren't god, so I'm sorry to say that real world logic applies to you and everything you do. Either accept the challenge or accept that you lost the argument, you can't have neither. ~Shard 03:42, 23 September 2009 (UTC)
- The initial article was the only one that had any discussion of my suggestions. That quickly degenerated into you trying to paint me as a misinformed nobody), when you have no basis for that assertion. Sure, I gave shit back, and each time I've done so you have ignored it and continued posting libel. Most of the discussion that we did have had to do with how Assassin skills are now, in the past, but not my suggestions, and all of which were filled with loaded words and I don't have the time to line edit your garbage. I've pointed out numerous times where you've contradicted yourself or made yourself look dumb. You continued to ignore it each time I pointed it out and continued fill my discussion page with shit having nothing to do with the actual suggestions. I'm willing to have an actual discussion with you, given it stays in the bounds of my suggestions and what exactly is wrong with it to make you disagree with it. IKenshinHimuraI 04:08, 23 September 2009 (UTC)
- I only look dumb to you, and frankly, I don't care. You, on the other hand, have proven time and time again that you are incapable of having an argument, that you are incapable of learning, and that you are incapable of compromise. I have now asked you three times to have a real argument, and instead of a simple "yes" or "no," all you do is make up stories about how I can't read or whatever other bullshit happens to pop up in your head. The Feedback Space is for getting and receiving feedback. If you are unwilling to receive feedback, don't post there. If you have anything relevant to say other than "you don't know how to read," or "QQ quoting me verbatum = loaded words," put it on your joke of a page. ~Shard 04:21, 23 September 2009 (UTC)
- You asked for this argument three times for me to explain why go through with the changes. It was on the top of the suggestion page from the beginning, and it still is. How could you miss it? IKenshinHimuraI 04:23, 23 September 2009 (UTC)
- No, I made the argument and you have done nothing about it. You tried to defend your changes, and failed. I would like to start again. Are you willing to do that or not? ~Shard 04:27, 23 September 2009 (UTC)
- I've been asking to start over, by discussing the suggestions specifically and by archiving these extremely de-railed, pointless articles. You're welcome to take part in a constructive manner, and I find that reversing the archive on my discussion page isn't a constructive thing to do. I never implied who was right or wrong by archiving it, I was merely cleaning up the thread, and it is still readable by anyone interested. You should bring that discussion to this page, if you are that eager to continue it. Leave the discussion page for actual discussion of my suggestions. I'm going to rearchive it, and you're welcome to discuss its contents on my talk page. IKenshinHimuraI 04:45, 23 September 2009 (UTC)
- remember his fake sock account? lol that was so fail --adrin 04:44, 23 September 2009 (UTC)
- I'll take that long-winded nonsense as a yes. This time, I'm going to address one point at a time so you can try to keep up. ~Shard 04:47, 23 September 2009 (UTC)
- It's a yes, if you can manage keeping your posts clean and unprovocative. That is, not posting things like "long-winded nonsense" IKenshinHimuraI 04:50, 23 September 2009 (UTC)
