I am saddened to hear that you lost your nearly-survivor status for so fricked-up a reason.

I hope that the current edit to Survivor works for you: I left the technique in, since it should still be useful for those not suffering the bug; I grayed out the two methods subject to lag, and increased the emphasis for alt-f4 (according to Gaile, it's the only truly reliable method). Obviously, edit or revert if you think it doesn't do the trick.
