- Thank you. I have been taking the "no copying pages from GuildWiki" to include copying information found there, and thus when adding skill pages, I have been leaving out the acquisition information. GuildWiki is the only place I know of to find such information, as I have unlocked all skills in question already, and thus cannot find out on my own. Should I continue doing this, or is copying information such as that alright, as long as entire pages are not copied? ~ Kailianna Firesoul 15:10, 6 April 2007 (EDT)
- Skills are the same everywhere so even when you do copy them no one will notice unless you take the acquisition information and notes. For other pages, you are not allowed to copy it unless all users who "made" the page release their license under GFDL. An alternative way is to copy the page and basically rewrite it again.I appreciate your effort for wanting to help out, but copying is just waste of time as it will get deleted. :) ~ Kurd

- While looking at other skill pages, the information about where the skill can be obtained appears (at least to me) to be copy and pasted directly from GuildWiki. That is, the listing of skill trainers, quests, and hero skill trainers for non-elites, and bosses for elites. I was asking if I should be copying said information in a similar manner, or if such copying is a violation of the policy cited at the top of this page. It is not an entire page being copied, nor other peoples' words and advice. It is factual information about Guildwars. I suppose I should be asking this on the page for that policy though, and not in my talk page. ~ Kailianna Firesoul 15:42, 6 April 2007 (EDT)
- Such information you can go ahead and copy with no worries, no one can copyright the fact that Dakk teaches you this skill or that this quest gives you this reward.
- Just watch out from parts where the GuildWiki editors have written stuff in their own words, like descriptions/notes/tips, things like that, but you already seem to be aware of that. When in doubt, just add a {{copyvio}} tag to the article in question, and someone else will look into it as well. Hope that helps. Cheers! --Dirigible 15:50, 6 April 2007 (EDT)

Haha, thanks for fixing the Flint's Fleshcleaver page. I can't believe I didn't put Water Magic in there, instead of just spells in general; that's a pretty big difference, haha. Just thought I'd drop by and thank you for fixing my mistake :D.
