New version[edit]
So, I like the new version much better: it's to-the-point and (as far as I can tell) doesn't compromise the issues you think are key. Next, can you combine the two Jaya farms into a single section?
On a minor point, try to avoid phrases such as, look at the detailed map for... → those kind of filler phrases are necessary in conversation, but detract from guides or articles. Instead, directly point out the features that you think people need to know about before clicking. For example, Watch out for Yeti (green box) or let the Sensali help kill them.
Your map has some useful details; if you also used a letter/number legend (in addition to the visual one), you could refer to specific points on the map more easily, e.g. the Warrior Boss (point A) or Avoid aggroing too many groups at once (points B, C, D). (Obviously, you can use a more sensible set of labels, e.g. Point B for Boss or even for Warrior Boss.)
I'll leave you to it. Looks like you have things well in hand. — Tennessee Ernie Ford (TEF) 06:28, 9 August 2011 (UTC)
- It is late here I will work more on it tomorrow. I will try to add a few text key points for ease or referral to the image.
- No problem. Among the nice things about working in your sandbox: no rush to get things done; things are ready when they are ready. Let me know if/when you want more feedback. — Tennessee Ernie Ford (TEF) 07:09, 9 August 2011 (UTC)
- As this sandbox version is better than the current live ver I would like to post it any objections for the world of GW? I will give 2 days before I move it for comments. My snad box will get tweaked with a new detailed image and some better boss info then submitted for review at that time.--KoJawn Macloyd 05:47, 10 August 2011 (UTC)
- If you want to get feedback, be sure to post a note on the Guide's talk page...so that others know to look here. A more formal way of doing that is to add a {{merge}} tag at the top of the article, e.g. {{merge|User:KoJawn/Sandbox|(insert reasons for preferring this guide over the current one)}}. (That's probably overkill for this situation — it's good for frequently used articles, controversial changes, and generally when you want to call more attention to an update before making it.) — Tennessee Ernie Ford (TEF) 05:58, 10 August 2011 (UTC)
- More helpful notes: you have a typo ("it's" when I think you mean "its") and you seem to have lost the numerical difference between the original red and yellow routes (I think it's 15 extra foes). If you have an estimated timing for any of the runs, that would be helpful to include, too. And you might want to condense the captions on the maps (focusing on what's unique about the maps, rather than what's the same for them both.) Other than that, it's looking good. — Tennessee Ernie Ford (TEF) 06:16, 10 August 2011 (UTC)
