Overview

Feathers are a high-demand common material because they are used to craft Essences of Celerity. They are easy to farm and easily sold to other players. There are two areas ideal for farming, North Kryta Province (Prophecies) and Jaya Bluffs (Factions).

North Kryta Province

North Kryta Province feather farm, from either Lions Arch or D'alessio Seaboard

• Start: Lion's Arch or D'Alessio Seaboard
• Target: (All Lvl 12 & 13)Caromi Tengu Brave, Caromi Tengu Scout, Caromi Tengu Wild
• Quest notes: There are fewer Tengu if the War in Kryta is active. (Drop any active Shining Blade Bounties and/or complete WiK to return spawns to normal.)

Threats & tactics

• Threats:
  Caromi Wild can interrupt key skills.

• Tactics:
  In normal mode, you should be able to ignore any non-Caromi foes as they are generally too weak to hinder you.

• Start: Seitung Harbor
• Target: (all Lvl12) Sensali Cutter & Sensali Cutter; Sensali DarkFeather; Sensali Claw;
• Quest notes: Farming may be easier if the quest Death With Honor is active.

There are a two maps for this farm. The first has an optional (yellow) route which has 5 more groups on it than just running its (red) route of about 11 groups. The second map has one route that covers all 20 the groups in one flowing run.

Threats & tactics

• Threats:
  Be careful around the Warrior boss you have to get real close to him to get past. The other bosses you can easily avoid or kill with help from the Sensali.

• Tactics:
  Look at detailed map for key points to this farm. There is a group of Sensali that sometimes spawns north of Miki Lake or on the lake. In a few places you can easily agro 2-3 spawns that are close to each other so be careful.

Recommended builds

W /

This run takes no more then 10-20 minutes before completely vanquishing the area of Tengu. The run isn't hard and requires little other than many armor enhancement skills and a strong heal, be wary of the Caromi Tengu Wild's (if in North Kryta Province) interruption skills

A /

Shadow Form can be handy for this, as the enemies (level 15 maximum) do minimal damage. Be wary of using only Critical Defenses, Shroud of Distress or Flashing Blades as a primary defense on Jaya Bluff as the Sensali DarkFeathers cast Rigor Mortis rendering you unable to block for the duration of the curse.

E /

Can be done with build (earth) similar to old raptor farming build. preferably E/Me for the use of Arcane Echo and Shockwave *elite* duplication. An E/Rt alternative can also be used, with Vengeful was Khanhei, Inferno, and Flame Djinn's Haste.

Another build that works is Double Dragon *elite*, Inferno, Flame Burst, and Flame Djinn's Haste, with Fire Attunement and Aura of Restoration. You can also add Elemental Lord and Intensity.

D /

A Dervish can successfully farm the Sensali Tengu off Jaya Bluff by combining Mystic Sandstorm with several damage dealing enchantments (most importantly Sand Shards) two healing enchantments (Vital Boon and Mystic Regeneration) and Avatar of Balthazar. Aggro the Tengu when you have set up your heals and Avatar and then as they swarm set up the damage dealers. When all of your enchants are up, set off Mystic Sandstorm which removes them for massive healing/energy gain (via Mysticism) and damage. It is recommended that Mysticism and Earth Prayers are both set as high as they can be taken.

D / Rt

Cast 1 2 4 wait till all are in a ball around you then 5 6 7 8. Cast 3 if you need more mana, but do so when you have a lot of spawn on you for more buff.

Casting multiple offensive spirit skills is an easy way to take down just under 8 of these foes at a time, use Summon Spirits to heal those spirits when needed. Despite their low energy pool, even Paragons and Warriors can feather farm using this method.

Notes

• Some players prefer to farm in the Nahpui Quarter mission, but this is not as fast as the two farms listed here.
• As with any farm,
  • Farm solo; you will earn more loot over time than using heroes or henchmen.
  • When possible, farm during a holiday that includes special drops, e.g. Halloween or Wintersday.
  • Avoid over aggroing, lest your party become overwhelmed.
