I think I figured out how to format a reply here. :-) Thanks for the welcome. I'll try not to tread on the grass.

Standard Pre-req[edit]

Is there a reason you don't want the required hero to be part of the template? --JonTheMon 13:26, 12 September 2010 (UTC)

Backreferencing, I presume you mean the edit to the Following the Trail quest. I opted to clip that bit out, in part, because the resulting output format is inconsistent with most/all other requirement lines on other pages in the quest group (I'm aware this is likely due to it being a template update after most other pages have already been formatted), but it's also rather redundant (denoting a "Required Hero" immediately below a bold "Requirements" header). Perhaps the template could be redefined a bit so that a required party member line fits more cleanly with other data that's likely to be in the Requirements section? Acquisition[edit]

does not apply to skills you have unlocked. –User Balistic B d-dark.pngalistic 05:54, 20 October 2010 (UTC)

 • Thanks for the info. Also cleaned up a couple earlier edits affected by this. One thing re Lion's Comfort, however: your note says I have the skill unlocked, but that's not the case. The character I'm viewing the skills list right now neither has it unlocked or known. I'd been adding Medando to the skill trainers lists where I thought appropriate (the error with unlocked skills now notwithstanding), then stopped when I began to see inconsistencies in the lists already in place. This brings up a question you might be able to answer for me: Is the list of skill trainers supposed to include all trainers that offer the skill or just the supposed first one normally reachable (e.g. Tohn in Kamadan is reachable before Medando in Yohlon Haven)? I ask because I've seen many pages listing Tohn but not Medando (when both of whom train the same skill), yet also many pages that list Tohn along with some combination of Resh, Dau, and Zendeht, where none of the latter three actually have the relevant skill on their skill list (as per their dedicated page), but which are inheriting the skill from "earlier" trainers such as Tohn. This would mean that either some lists are incomplete (Medando, for instance, legitimately belongs on a list with Tohn) or some are including erroneous entries (Dau, Resh, etc. should not be listed if they are just inheriting the skill from Tohn or others normally reached before them; or more simply put: they shouldn't be included unless the skill in question is actually listed on the skill list on their own page). I expect there's a standard for these lists. Do you know what that standard is?

Overlinking[edit]

As per GWW:GENFORM#Wiki links, avoid overlinking, especially when the same term is linked in the same section. --Silver Edge 06:34, 20 October 2010 (UTC)

 • Got it! Thanks for the heads up.

Salvaging[edit]

Hi there, you're doing a good job adding all the salvage data, but you don't need to add a column for Highly Salvagable on salvage items like Ethereal Garments - they cannot be inscripted, so will never be Highly Salvagable. (Also, your signature should preferably link to your talk page!) --File:User Chieftain Alex Chieftain Signature.pngChieftain Alex 17:21, 20 August 2011 (UTC)

e.g. [[User talk:Kruhljak|Kruhljak]] would produce the same appearance yet link to your talk page: Kruhljak
except the link won't work when shown on your talkpage.. --File:User Chieftain Alex Chieftain Signature.pngChieftain Alex 17:28, 20 August 2011 (UTC)
Thanks much for the info (on both counts). I totally missed that HS inscrips are restricted to *equippable* items and that--obviously--salvageable armor items aren't equippable. Gah. Well, then I'll have to go back and strip out those irrelevant columns over the next days. Kruhljak 17:33, 20 August 2011 (UTC)
