- Ok, I am gonna try the indent thing and see if i am doing this right. I appreciate all the help. --Laradcroft 01:58, 5 January 2012 (UTC)
- YEAH!!! I made it work.... ooh rah! Ok, on my treasures page. I updated the names of my characters, however on the bottom portion, i was not sure how to get my Lady J to show as an elem and not a derv., where do i get those icons from? Thanks again. --Laradcroft 02:25, 5 January 2012 (UTC)
- I've added some additional notes at the treasure tracker's talk page. (You can see changes to pages of interest to you at your Watchlist; there's also a link near the logout button, the location of which varies depending on the skin you are using.) – Tennessee Ernie Ford (TEF) 05:26, 5 January 2012 (UTC)
Talk page conventions[edit]
Wiki talk pages don't work as nicely as discussions in a robust forum/blog/etc:
- You have to manually add your signature by typing four tildes:
~~~~
- You have to manually indent comments to easily distinguish from the previous contributor's by adding a color (
:
) at the start of a line.
Unfortunately, the default wiki software doesn't handle this automatically (probably because it makes everything else on the wiki easier for us without making the software-that-makes-wikis-run even more complicated). – Tennessee Ernie Ford (TEF) 21:43, 4 January 2012 (UTC)
In need of help[edit]
I want to add a page where i can track what mini's i have in my hall of monuments so that i will not buy the same mini twice but not have to keep going to the hall. HOw do i "add" another page to my user pages? I think i found the code for a simple table on the help pages but could not find how to actually add a user page, like when u added my treasures page. Can you help me? Thanks. --Laradcroft 00:23, 9 January 2012 (UTC)
- The easiest way to create another page is to create a link to it and then edit that empty page. For instance, you could follow this link to User:Laradcroft/Minipets and add the table/template there. As long as the page name starts with "User:Laradcroft/", then you can basically do whatever you want. As for the minipet lists, I'd recommend Wynthyst's template, there are instructions on that page on how to use it, but let me know if you have any problems. ~FarloTalk 00:38, 9 January 2012 (UTC)
- Farlo, thanks a million that worked great and so did his template. I appreciate all the help! --Laradcroft 05:42, 9 January 2012 (UTC)
