I think you have a valid point there. The health penalty is rarely worth it, except when you need a certain breakpoint, or when things hit several things (because then and only then, will the extra points start to add up). However, you will need quite some defense to justify the health loss. A reduction in health penaly would be an acceptable solution to me too though. 87.210.150.58 19:35, 6 December 2008 (UTC)
IMO, anything that doesn't see normal play needs to be changed so that it can. Usually, it's just skills that I advocate, but this is also something that needs work. With everyone running as much Health as possible, it's going to take something pretty big to get people to do anything different. Most people don't gimp themselves, y'know?
Having more viable options means more variety, and thus, more interesting play. I think that's something we should shoot for. User Raine R.gif Raine - talk 23:06, 6 December 2008 (UTC)
I agree with that. I made a suggestion a few months back about weapon modifiers too, seeing as just about everyone runs 15^50 and energy +5 mods. Maybe it's worth to include those too? 87.210.150.58 09:41, 7 December 2008 (UTC)
I meant to reply to this earlier, sorry it took so long. Yeah, I think I'll write something about weapon mods, too. Especially the suffixes (+30 or gtfo). The entire section is kinda "when I feel like it", so I'll get around to it... eventually. User Raine R.gif Raine - talk 18:45, 8 December 2008 (UTC)
Ok, take your time. 145.94.74.23 09:54, 9 December 2008 (UTC)
Agreed. I can run 2 superior runes on a ranger and survive several consecutive alliance battles without dying.
I used to run two Sup, now I do one Sup, one Maj, on my Ranger, and it still feels fine. On other professions, not so much, but it doesn't seem to affect my ranger that much. I was considering what should be done with runes, and I honestly don't think having a -Health is the way to go. Perhaps -Energy, or -Armour or... something? I do like the idea of the 'if Attribute 13+, then Bonus' concept. Attaching that to Attributes might be a viable alternative. Tashiro 07:04, 4 November 2010 (UTC)
