Prep[edit]

If people want to do easy stuff to get used to their builds before game day, we could arrange something like nm h/h fow. This part's actually pretty important; I'd rather not wake up at 9:30 my time and find out people aren't sure what they're doing. The UA in particular needs to figure out

We have a bunch of people signing up for the physicals already. If anyone could bring a midline/backline character, even as an alt, it'd be awesome. If you need to level a new guy in the next two weeks, say so and I'll help you out. PvE skill ranks aren't nearly as important as having the skills in the first place (drunken master, aohm, ward honor, tntf, and maybe seed are the only ones that really require a rank to be super broken, and even then they're still broken as it is).

JB, I ninja-changed the ele build to have glyph swift instead of convert.

Also, bringing con sets gets you bunnies.

I can bring a conset, since it's just collecting virtual dust in my storage. I'll probably end up running the N/Rt healer myself, despite my grudges against Ghostmirror Light.--Zetta 23:47, 28 November 2010 (UTC)
Ghostmirror was basically a heal I threw in there (on the idea that it's good against pressure) before looking at mbas' and spirit light's recharges. If you think you can heal well enough without it, feel free to swap it out for GDW or pot or something (I don't even know right now), but be warned that if we wipe you will obviously get first blame for everything that ever went wrong the whole run. Makes sense, right? -- Armond WarbladeUser Armond sig image.png{{Bacon}} 23:51, 28 November 2010 (UTC)
I might toss it out for a strong spike heal like Spirit Transfer ('cause killing Life with that is just an awesome, satisfying heal), just in case something goes wrong. I'll just decide at the last minute, I suppose. As for being blamed when we wipe, I honestly don't care, since I see it a lot in PvP.--Zetta 01:03, 29 November 2010 (UTC)
Woo, a scapegoat! -- Armond WarbladeUser Armond sig image.png{{Bacon}} 03:00, 29 November 2010 (UTC)
Well, so long as nothing stupid happens, there should be no need for scapegoating.--Zetta 03:35, 29 November 2010 (UTC)

Vent[edit]

Anyone got one, or do I have to dig one out? -- Armond WarbladeUser Armond sig image.png{{Bacon}} 08:20, 28 November 2010 (UTC)

You wish, No.--NeilUser Neil2250 sig icon6.png 11:59, 28 November 2010 (UTC)
I'm on a computer without it on this date, but installing it won't be a problem ^^
I guess it's about a server, but whatever :D - J.P.User J.P. sigicon.pngTalk 13:04, 28 November 2010 (UTC)
I think I have server info laying around, but even then, my microphone is dead. Until I head to some store and (remember to) buy one, I'll just be listening.--Zetta 13:45, 28 November 2010 (UTC)
The server is the important part. I can't really fault people for not having mics, since I myself am a poor college student, but it would be really great if people could get them. -- Armond WarbladeUser Armond sig image.png{{Bacon}} 17:10, 28 November 2010 (UTC)
I'll toss up the info ASAP, then. If I get a mic, you'll be treated to my target calling and moderately bad singing.--Zetta 23:24, 28 November 2010 (UTC)
Great, i just managed to break my headset mic :S - J.P.User J.P. sigicon.pngTalk 13:04, 29 November 2010 (UTC)
I have a switch to turn my mic on and off. It was turned off...
And i'd already opened my headset and checked the wires. This is not my day XD - J.P.User J.P. sigicon.pngTalk 13:21, 29 November 2010 (UTC)

I can run the vent server on my computer if we need one. Only 8 slots, but it should do. ¬ «Ðêjh» (talk) 20:20, 30 November 2010 (UTC)

Equipment[edit]

What sets are must for ER? Besides the obvious 40/40 (which i don't have :P). I have a defensive and a 20% enchant sets. - J.P.User J.P. sigicon.pngTalk 22:44, 28 November 2010 (UTC)

40/40 prot for convert but no convert on the bar, herf derf. Really, only the enchanting set is required; there's little point in 40/40ing 1/4 cast spells with 2 and 3 recharge. If you can get a 20/20 universal set for GDW, that'd be awesome.
I'm also worried about energy denial, thus the low and high sets, but that's maybe unfounded.
-- Armond WarbladeUser Armond sig image.png{{Bacon}} 23:00, 28 November 2010 (UTC)
Low set means one with mods which lower the energy pool, right?
Sorry for being casual :D - J.P.User J.P. sigicon.pngTalk 23:11, 28 November 2010 (UTC)
Yeah, that's what he's talking about. But e-denial is only prevalent in the Chaos Planes, so it's totally up to you. If you're paranoid of mesmers like I am, then it'll be a good idea to bring a low-energy set along.--Zetta 23:27, 28 November 2010 (UTC)
The idea is you swap to the low energy set, get hit by eburn (or whatever) x9218349234, swap up to your 20/20 set, and cast. Course, with a bonder the idea's a little funky, but we'll make it work.
And don't worry about asking a bunch of questions! I have absolutely nothing against taking casuals along, just bads (and asking questions proves you're not a bad). -- Armond WarbladeUser Armond sig image.png{{Bacon}} 23:44, 28 November 2010 (UTC)
About the bonds, honor is placed on crit and KD whores obviously (and on imba aswell?).
But what about life? It might be hard to maintain it on 7 other people :D
Is it case sensitive or what? - J.P.User J.P. sigicon.pngTalk 00:23, 29 November 2010 (UTC)
SoH goes on the three melee, not the imbagon. Life Bond can go on as many people as you can maintain it on (I can see this build maintaining another five or six bonds, honestly, though it's been a long time since I've tried it). -- Armond WarbladeUser Armond sig image.png{{Bacon}} 01:10, 29 November 2010 (UTC)
You should just hope Dejh plays the es, cause then your job will just be to spam stuff on him. -- Armond WarbladeUser Armond sig image.png{{Bacon}} 02:08, 29 November 2010 (UTC)
That 20% enchant staff i have has +20 energy and 20% HRT. Is HCT that important besides mindblades (interrupts and Migraine)? Besides i'm poor (i'm always poor XD) with amazing 4k :D - J.P.User J.P. sigicon.pngTalk 14:52, 29 November 2010 (UTC)
Outside the mindblades, no, not really, although extra RoDs are always nice. Once my internets are more stable I'll see what I can do about helping you get a 20/20 set. -- Armond WarbladeUser Armond sig image.png{{Bacon}} 16:11, 29 November 2010 (UTC)
Change of plans: Camp the staff. Too much effort to get a 20/20 set, and with any luck you'll draw a pblock on gdw. -- Armond WarbladeUser Armond sig image.png{{Bacon}} 20:59, 29 November 2010 (UTC)
Mindblades can interrupt 1/4 cast spells (without Migraine!), so HCT is pretty pointless for your bar. — Raine Valen User Raine R.gif 21:40, 29 Nov 2010 (UTC)
If maintaining bonds is going to be a problem, can you sub anything for Balthazar's Aura (I'm asking you, Armond!)? It gives copious amounts of energy! — Raine Valen User Raine R.gif 21:40, 29 Nov 2010 (UTC)
Diversion and Shatter are probably the only threats to maintaining the bonds. I forgot that Renewal will trigger off Fury/Pain too. -- Armond WarbladeUser Armond sig image.png{{Bacon}} 22:01, 29 November 2010 (UTC)
Why do you even have Dark Fury? You have one adrenal character and they're already packing Focused Anger and FGJ!. — Raine Valen User Raine R.gif 19:18, 30 Nov 2010 (UTC)
Dark fury is shatter fodder and buffs ER. Also it's req for the paragon to spam everything. -- Armond WarbladeUser Armond sig image.png{{Bacon}} 19:38, 30 November 2010 (UTC)

Why do people hate rangers? :([edit]

Positions[edit]

We currently have 8 applicants for 7 jobs. No one is running build 5 atm. 3 people have the 2 Assassin slots listed as their first choice, one of which can only run assassin. If we can get someone that wants to run build 5, everyone will have their first choice, except an assassin player, who will be left out, unless someone doesn't show on the day. In order of application, that would most likely fall to kokaba'al.

I'll leave it to Armond to fix this. ¬ «Ðêjh» (talk) 18:35, 9 December 2010 (UTC)

that is a terrible idea, I have the worst headache atm and would just be like "let's do randomway" -- Armond WarbladeUser Armond sig image.png{{Bacon}} 19:11, 9 December 2010 (UTC)
I'd run bar 5 if I wasn't running 7, and if I had a rit. Zetta 21:32, 9 December 2010 (UTC)
Friends and alliances gogogo!
And i'd like to note that i'm going for a cruise tomorrow and won't be back 'til Sunday evening (local time) around 19:00 (UTC). So if you can wait for an hour, though it might take less, i'm still game! - J.P.User J.P. sigicon.pngTalk 09:01, 10 December 2010 (UTC)

Draw nerf wtf! -- Armond WarbladeUser Armond sig image.png{{Bacon}} 18:56, 10 December 2010 (UTC)

They saw your build and went bat shit!
What about Foul for N/Rt? - J.P.User J.P. sigicon.pngTalk 12:56, 11 December 2010 (UTC)
Nah. The point of draw wasn't to be draw, it was to be able to spam zealot's every two seconds. There's other spells that can do that; I've switched the build to rof for now. There isn't any serious physical pressure in uw, either, or we'd have a sop. -- Armond WarbladeUser Armond sig image.png{{Bacon}} 17:18, 11 December 2010 (UTC)

Into the future...[edit]

Since this date is not gonna happen it seems. - J.P.User J.P. sigicon.pngTalk 19:14, 12 December 2010 (UTC)
