Where to go....
Didn't know where to go with this so I came to this page. I'm seeing several videos on Youtube from people saying they were former GM's in the game, like this one: video. My question is if it's possible to make some kind announcement or warning concerning this (about the videos on youtube or other websites). I have seen dozens of these kind of videos, some saying they are giving away free stuff others even saying stuff like "If you have any problems with your account pls send your info to this e-mail adress and we will try and fix it". - Well the reason I ask for it is for "young" and other people playing this game who might fall for this, I personally have a brain and I use it but you can't ask and expect that from every 10-16 year olds or younger. - We put a warning about these video scams in the Guild Wars login screen. Where would you suggest putting an announcement that would be more visible? Would you want something on the website in a news post? --Regina Buenaobra

- I dunno if a news post will help, tbh. Most people don't check the main site that frequently -- the login announcements are the best place to put this. Perhaps you could encourage people to pay attention to it by something as simple as always having the "stay secure" note open, or in an attention-grabbing colour? Looking over the wording of it, it might be a good idea to reword it, too -- it says "anyone who [asks you for your password] is not affiliated with ArenaNet or NCsoft in any way". The scam videos claim to be made by ex-employees, and an ex-employee is, by definition, not affiliated with ANet. So someone who's read the announcement might still fall for the scam. --Mme.
