Anyone seen our CM?

Can't remember the last time I saw Regina post here, and I'm not really attached to forums (probably should) to see if there's past there... or there... or there either. So, anyone know if, you know, she's alive or anything? 000.00.00.00 20:01, 6 October 2008 (UTC)

Checked her contribs, last one was on 11:57, September 29, 2008 — Wolf User Great Darkwolf User Image paw.png 22:46, 6 October 2008 (UTC)
Two things came to mind when I read that:
  • One - she thinks we're bad people [cries]
  • Two - She's busy
  • Four - something big is coming ^_^
Well, I hope something is happening and that its not number 1. 000.00.00.00 22:53, 6 October 2008 (UTC)
You forgot #3 - Something bad happend [cries] — Wolf User Great Darkwolf User Image paw.png 22:55, 6 October 2008 (UTC)
She's ill. Also she has posted today on GWO. Erasculio 23:08, 6 October 2008 (UTC)
So it's somehwat #3 :P Hope she gets better soon! — Wolf User Great Darkwolf User Image paw.png 23:58, 6 October 2008 (UTC)
I stand by my logic ^_^ 000.00.00.00 07:30, 7 October 2008 (UTC)
Myself a bit miffed about a "Community Coordinator" that isn't Coordinating the Community but understand that that is one of the many many tasks Regina has. With Halloween and the HoM update coming up (and more probably) she's got to be extremely busy. --Silverleaf User Silverleaf sig.pngDon't assume, ask! 13:05, 7 October 2008 (UTC)
One thing I'm curious about: Gaile did the great majority of the community work, but even regarding the American community she was part of a team (with Natasha, who apparently helped with the alpha testers, and Andrew Patrick, who was helping to overseer the PvP community for a while). We know Natasha and Andrew are currently not part of the community team, so I wonder if Regina is now overseeing America alone. Erasculio 13:13, 7 October 2008 (UTC)
I am the only one managing the English language community, not just America (or the United States, if you want to be specific). Natasha has started school recently, and as you all know Andrew is now working with QA. I maintain five different email inboxes, that on average receive about 100-150+ emails, per day, between all of them. More emails pile up on the weekends at the public addresses, so Mondays are extremely busy. Of course, you can't just read emails -- some emails require responses, some emails require more research before you can respond, and sometimes that research generates even more emails as you try to track down the information you need, or as you discuss issues over email. I read active English-language forums daily (BTW, and I keep repeating this, but just because I am not posting doesn't mean that I am not reading). I attend meetings each week with different departments. I coordinate activities with the European Community Team. I am involved in strategy and planning in multiple departments, including my own. This sort of work requires reading, research, report-writing, etc. So I do get a little busy from time to time. And those are just average days. If there are problems with the game, if there is a tight deadline, if there is a game update on the day, the workload increases. --Regina Buenaobra User Regina Buenaobra sig.png 23:57, 7 October 2008 (UTC)
Hmmmm, sounds like we need a Regina Clone Army! All jokes aside, has Anet thought about adding an additional person or two and having a CM crew? — Wolf User Great Darkwolf User Image paw.png 00:01, 8 October 2008 (UTC)
We were recruiting for another CM here at ArenaNet, but after some thought and discussion, it was decided that it would be better to look for another CM a little further along the development cycle of GW2. --Regina Buenaobra User Regina Buenaobra sig.png 00:04, 8 October 2008 (UTC)
Nice, that's interesting. Thanks for the long explanation, Regina. Erasculio 01:04, 8 October 2008 (UTC)

(Reset indent) Ooohhhh an additional CM would help you with the EXTREME workload indeed. Jealous already on your Co-CM. --Silverleaf User Silverleaf sig.pngDon't assume, ask! 13:44, 9 October 2008 (UTC)

It'd be nice, but right now there aren't any plans to bring another CM on board at ArenaNet at the moment. --Regina Buenaobra User Regina Buenaobra sig.png 00:16, 10 October 2008 (UTC)
