do you

still have access to my alt accounts? I've embarrassedly forgotten the login details myself and suddenly find a need to access my miniatures and stuff. I'd contact Support but I don't feel like waiting 3 months.

p.s. why did you leave me all alone in some random guild D: Vili 点 User talk:Vili 07:23, 7 June 2011 (UTC)

Only one of the (three?) login combinations you gave me ever worked, to be honest. I still have that, but I'd imagine you do, too. I also have the credentials that (didn't?) work a long time ago, if it helps at all (which it probably won't.) Also, I'd imagine that's a valuable guild of mine. Huh. That's odd.
I have the login for my main, and that obviously works.
For my second alt, I know the user name and the password, but not a character name. (I hope...)
For the third alt, I don't know the user name or a character name, but I know the password. (Maybe.)
It would be helpful to me if I could double-check those ancient credentials with you, to see if I've even got the password right. (Only other person who could access those accounts is Raine, and she wouldn't up and chage the password...) If I don't, that's a real problem, because those accounts aren't even linked to my PlayNC account so Support wouldn't let me get them anyway. :\ I guess I need your MSN or something? I'll get it somehow and add you in a minute. Vili 点 User talk:Vili 07:50, 7 June 2011 (UTC)

Gotta

organise a day to ab =P --SilvenUser Silven sig.jpg 05:36, 8 June 2011 (UTC)

Yeah, I suppose so. I tried to play Ancestral a few days ago and the Kurzick side had like 4 districts while the Luxon side had half a district with a few teams that didn't even have monks. I ended up resigning out and quit for the day. So, if I were to AB right now it'd preferably not be on Ancestral, or at least on a day where there's half-decent people playing on the other two teams.
I'm here pretty much all the time right now, though. Just not on gwars.
Also, you haven't flisted me. ;~; User Ryuu R.jpgRyuu  *bite* 06:18, 8 June 2011 (UTC)

Black or white issues

Thanks for taking care of the {{white}} issues.

I had planned to do the same, but wanted to give the guy one more chance to understand why it shouldn't matter to him. The template was odd, but it wasn't causing any great harm and I wasn't in a rush to see it removed. Anyhow, I'm relieved (if for no other reason, than I didn't have to do search/replace on X pages, copy the diff links, and ... etc.). I appreciate your taking the time to follow it up. — Tennessee Ernie Ford (TEF) 08:23, 8 June 2011 (UTC)

Number one rule on any given wiki: be bold (especially when you know for a fact that your changes are justifiable).
In a case like that (where changing pages in a userspace that isn't your own is due to changes that are external to those user pages), I honestly just explain what I did, why I did it, and give links to compare my changes - "revert if you want to".
But, I suppose your pet peeve with changing pages in the user space without asking permission also plays a part in how you'd behave.
At any rate, glad to help.
You're welcome. User Ryuu R.jpgRyuu  *bite* 08:35, 8 June 2011 (UTC)
The other factor for me is that waiting for permission is a tool for avoiding Drama. People get defensive about their user pages (esp. about their characters). And, in this case, I also observed that the particular person had already been upset about perceived adjustments made by others. So, I figured, meh, an extra post or two, and extra wait of a week or two, no big deal.
OTOH, I think the current outcome is good: the user had their chance to do the right thing... and the wiki has the maintenance edits it needs. Thanks again. — Tennessee Ernie Ford (TEF) 15:40, 8 June 2011 (UTC)
