grammar[edit]
well, i'm not rly good in such things, especially if it's not my native language, but doesn't the "have" from ...your recent edit, such as on {{{1}}} have been seen... refer to the edit? Hence you had to use the 3. person singular instead, which would be "has". In case i mixed something up or there's a exception, nvmd :P —ZerphaThe Improver 17:41, 8 April 2008 (UTC)
- Well, maybe ...your recent edit(s), such as on {{{1}}} have been seen... would make it better :) --Shadowphoenix 17:43, 8 April 2008 (UTC)
- Or ... don't use a template. Magic. -- Brains12 \ Talk 17:44, 8 April 2008 (UTC)
- Ummmm, no I am going to :P. It gets tedious after a while :o) --Shadowphoenix 17:45, 8 April 2008 (UTC)
- If it gets tedious, don't do it. I've already said that templates are not used well. In fact, Eloc had a similar template-warning system as you did, and they got deleted in the end. (Via user request, but called for by various users.) -- Brains12 \ Talk 17:46, 8 April 2008 (UTC)
- Well I am going to do it even though it is tedious :P. I only have 4 and I plan to re-word them anyway, to make them sound more user friendly. May I ask why they were requested to be deleted, just curious? --Shadowphoenix 17:52, 8 April 2008 (UTC)
- Because he couldn't comprehend how impersonal they sounded, and insisted on using them anyway. Even though actually typing it out takes about ten more seconds, he stubbornly kept using the templates and kept pissing users off because of it. In the end he was shamed into deleting it. -Auron 17:55, 8 April 2008 (UTC)
- Well, in general i'm a fan of templates, but text for use on talk pages don't always suit that nice, as some maybe feel stupid that they only got a certain answer that was copy-pasted from another page. (Though i don't think that it'd be that impersonal normally.) If i remember right there was also a welcoming template (not within any user's namespace) intended to be used for new users - which got deleted now :P —ZerphaThe Improver 19:59, 8 April 2008 (UTC)
