Cartographer[edit]

How does it break the EULA? I thought it only required a bunch of unnecessary grind. -- Armond WarbladeUser Armond sig image.png{{Bacon}} 16:42, 4 October 2009 (UTC)

Some people use 3rd party 'tools' other than Texmod (that are closer to something like WoWGlider) to get it accomplished. See also: Exploiting bugs in the game, mob locations or certain skills to get into areas that are supposed to be unreachable. For instance, Bai Paasu Reach. There are several other examples, including a few instances of exploiting speedboosts to slip past portals to get into explorable areas without having monsters, etc load.-thejynxed- 21:27, 4 October 2009 (UTC)
Using skills to get to supposedly unreachable places isn't required for getting the titles (especially in Cantha), unless things have changed since I last looked. If those places were required for the title, it'd be a gray area (especially as they've not been changed in so long). None of the other things you mentioned are required for getting the title, and I'd even venture to say they're fairly rare (unlike the drunkard title, where everyone who's tried it has been tempted to use an autoclicker/exploit some bug due to the insane amount of time investment required). -- Armond WarbladeUser Armond sig image.png{{Bacon}} 21:33, 4 October 2009 (UTC)

Jette's img explanation[edit]

I saw your post on Linsey's page (a few weeks ago, I know), and I thought I'd help you see some of the difference's between Jette's clean up of skill images versus the stock image. (Note: I don't mean to harass, though if this post comes off like that, I am sorry)
User Ezekial Riddle Jette Rodgort 3.png
On the left is the hi-res icon, taken from here. The other two consists of Jette's image blown up to 256 x 256 using IrfanView.

General changes with examples
  • Note the general de-sharpening on Jette's (i.e. it's a tad more blurry) than the stock image. This reduce's some of the "stair-step" effect, much like anti-aliasing feature in video games.
  • This is visibly seen under Rodgort's mouth, his chin if you will. The "stair-steps" go up and to the right on the stock image, butte on Jette's, the "stair-steps" look more like a ramp.
  • Removal of noise (For those that don't know, noise is random pixels that stick out like a sore thumb, usually as a result of over-sharpening).
  • In the stock image, you can see some green in the deep part of Rodgort's mouth. Jette's image lacks that green, as does the hi-res image.

Those are just a couple of the differences I can see between Jette's image and the stock image. --User Ezekial Riddle silverbluesig.pngRIDDLE 21:30, 19 October 2009 (UTC)
