- "I try to be my best." *sad face* The first post to my talk page is a cookie-cutter warning. Disappointed at me. --Threid 10:26, 4 January 2010 (UTC)
Greetings and salutations[edit]
Welcome to the wiki Threid! I thought I would give you a more personal comment, as you seemed rather sad that you got a warning for your first touch of wiki comments (you can just archive it and pretend it never happened...unless they check your archive). As for "The first post to my talk page is a cookie-cutter warning", if you check here you can see that your first post was in fact by you so cheer up! Also, seeing as I've seen you ask others and I too am curious, how do you see your handle pronounced? I think it's Th-reed (like I freed a bird, but with a th sound like in "three") and fondly enough, Microsoft Sam agrees with me. Not sure there's many other ways to pronounce it, but hey you never know. Anyway, have fun and see you around. ~Celestia 13:55, 4 January 2010 (UTC)
- Thanks for helping me into the wiki community, Celestia. Your user page is creative, even though you've removed a lot of old information from it. Hopefully, we can look forward to seeing you on GW2 and its wiki. ^_^ I took the name Threid from a Welsh story; it's pronounced "threh-id." The "e" is pronounced like it would in "bet" or "echo." Most people usually end up saying "thray-id," though, 'cause it's easier for the American tongue. In any case, thanks for making my talk page a friendlier place. See you around the wiki! --Threid 20:44, 4 January 2010 (UTC)
- Well I am around on this wiki, just not as much. Pretty much only when I am procrastinating from uni work ;) As for your name...well that's even more confusing! I'm not American so I guess my tongue won't say thray-id (it sounds like Fred when I try to say it now that I was 'corrected'...Damn misleading Microsoft Sam). Also your signature picture isn't a transparency! *sigh* ~Celestia 13:24, 5 January 2010 (UTC)
- Just say "thread" with two syllables. Transparency? Does that mean it should be a png? If so, that's not a problem. --Threid 20:59, 5 January 2010 (UTC)
- Just checked, and it's a png. Didn't check to see if it was transparent before uploading. Does it need to be, since it will almost always be displayed on a white background? Or do you look at images in the same way graphic designers look at fonts? At least I'm not using Comic Sans. ^_^ --Threid 23:25, 5 January 2010 (UTC)
- No it doesn't have to be transparent, twas just curious. As for Comic Sans...Brings back memories of primary school- it's like the best font ever! ~Celestia 13:25, 7 January 2010 (UTC)
- Now I'm curious: How and why did you test its transparency? And I've nothing against the Sans; if it's good enough for Beanie Babies and The Sims, it's good enough for me. --Threid 01:00, 8 January 2010 (UTC)
- Well...I hovered over your sig and noticed it was a png. I thought to myself "Oh a png, it must be a transparency- I like this person! (no it's not shallow to like someone over a signature icon!) I wondered how he did the flask/beakers (i.e. did you leave them white, or made them transparent too, given that it's actually glass)". So I took the file, and checked it against a coloured background, and behold- not a transparency. As for why, well some talk pages may not be set to white (page templates), people may be viewing the wiki using a different wiki-skin, or some pages (like project pages) are different colours. *runs away* ~Celestia 12:48, 8 January 2010 (UTC)
- Makes sense. I chose to go png mostly because it's a better format for smaller images, and doesn't degrade on repeated edits, not (in this case) for transparency. Also, your font color (#bb00bb) is a smile-worthy, if unintentional, coincidence. --Threid 21:27, 8 January 2010 (UTC)

(Reset indent) It wasn't intentional, but I'll pretend it was! ~Celestia 13:07, 10 January 2010 (UTC)
Unsigned ip addresses[edit]
You can just use the {{unsigned ip|ip addres}} template for that. -- Lacky 05:30, 14 January 2010 (UTC)
- In the future, I shall. I just searched the templates for {{unsigned}} and chose what I thought fit best. --Threid 06:33, 14 January 2010 (UTC)
- No problems. ^_^ -- Lacky 09:14, 14 January 2010 (UTC)
Clockwork scythe dispute[edit]
There is a dispute over if the scythe drops from Hidesplitter's Chest on the Clockwork Scythe talk page. As you reported in the drop research page for hidesplitters chest that you did obtain it, I thought you could shed some light if it drops anymore from Hidesplitter's Chest. --Draygo Korvan 19:09, 11 February 2010 (UTC)
