User talk:Yoshida Keiji/The Deep/Heroway

Since room two is the quickest choice, I'd only put the tip on how to get the 12 into that single room into the main article. I'd put it underneath the current note for The_Deep#Section_0_.28exhaustion.29 with just a bold heading saying "Heroway tip:" File:User Chieftain Alex Chieftain Signature.jpg Chieftain Alex 11:31, 15 January 2012 (UTC)

Whatever you eventually do, just put the tip on the actual article - don't link to userspace in the middle of a mainspace page. File:User Chieftain Alex Chieftain Signature.jpg Chieftain Alex 12:45, 15 January 2012 (UTC)

Against formatting?[edit]

I don't see it as against formatting to offer a two-player solution to the Deep. The 10-hero trick is fine (although I would recommend writing it so that it applies equally to a single-player 7H team). As long as the tips don't force users to bring certain skills (other than the KDs that are required to fight Kanaxai), I think it's fine to update the walkthrough to include this idea.

I also agree with Alex that it's not ok to link to a user page from the walkthrough itself. While it's in draft form, you can add a "see also" at the bottom of the page.

Finally, outside of the specific steps to get the heroes past the first puzzle, I don't really see the need to distinguish a 12-player walkthrough from a 2-player/10H one: nearly every room gets handled the same way (stake out a position, pull, distract, kill, move on). I hope that when you add these steps, you can overhaul the article entirely so that it's useful for those who have never visited the Deep...and for those who have. – Tennessee Ernie Ford (TEF) 07:29, 16 January 2012 (UTC)

Yoshida has already implemented this into the main article under a concise one liner at The_Deep#Section_0_.28exhaustion.29 File:User Chieftain Alex Chieftain Signature.jpg Chieftain Alex 09:37, 16 January 2012 (UTC)
One small concise edit by YK, one huge gain for our readers (in other words: thanks!). – Tennessee Ernie Ford (TEF) 00:42, 17 January 2012 (UTC)
