Third-person voice[edit]

"Speaking as a third party" refers to phrasing things as if you were an outside observer looking in at something - that is, when speaking about people, you shouldn't use "we", "I", or "you", as those imply you're the person(s) being talked about, which isn't what an outside observe is. So for example, instead of saying "go to our web page", you'd say something like "Visit the guild's web page" - the former is in a first-person voice, whereas the second is in a third-person voice (which is how articles should be written).

Also, just a note - when you're leaving comments on a talk page, make sure to sign them so people reading them know who said what! :) To sign an edit you can either use the "Your signature with timestamp" button at the top of the editor, or just type in 4 tildes (like so: ~~~~).
