Wi Liam is Emperor Kisu's royal poet laureat. He was requested to write the 2007 Canthan New Year Poem:

- Wi Liam's poem uses a 2-4-6-8-2 syllable structure known as a cinquain.
- Wi Liam is most likely a nod to one of the numerous poets named William (e.g. William Wordsworth or William Blake).
