- Red is its default color, although since the release of Nightfall when you buy any armor it will come in gray.

- it's not its default color... it was grey, i wore it, still grey. now i dyed it red+purple to get pinkish , this armor displayed is red+red+purple78.20.153.111 11:45, 14 August 2008 (UTC)

- During proph or factions, buying armor made it red by default. It was the default colour. It is the default colour in the .dat file. When NF came out, all armor newly bought was automatically dyed grey, rather than changing the default colour in the .dat file. I think. Napalm Flame 12:07, 14 August 2008 (UTC)
- Ehm, that red has never been the default armor colour for any profession. For monks it was some brownish sand colour. I think she (I think it was Emily) who originally uploaded these pictures just chose this colour for the wiki pictures to make the details easier to see. -

- I believe Emily uses the default color of the armor for the renders, most of the eotn armors are default red. The game automatically dyes them grey when you buy it. If you take off your chest armor before entering HoM, the armors placed on the armor monument will show up in their default color. --Zora 12:59, 14 August 2008 (UTC)
- that's it. some slower computers will players also allow to shortly see the default color of the armor when wearing it (=double-clicking on it while not equipped). most if not all image files of eotn armors are red. —Zerpha
