The Admin noticeboard is one way through which users can notify administrators of issues needing administrative attention. While users are welcome to directly contact specific administrators (especially if they are seen to be active), posting here can be an easier and quicker way of ensuring that at least one admin will notice an issue and respond to it promptly. Remember to sign when posting an issue.

Before posting an issue here, consider the following:

  • As this is a noticeboard and not a talk page, please refrain from discussing.
  • Post only issues that require administrative action, i.e. blocking vandals, protecting pages, restoring deleted pages etc.
  • Do not post deletion requests here. Deletion requests should be made by adding {{delete}} to the top of the target page, which will then automatically mark the page as a candidate for deletion.
  • Do not post issues regarding content disputes. Try making a request for comments instead.
  • Mediation requests between users should only be made if a resolution could not be reached between users.
  • For issues regarding the use of this wiki, please see our help center.

In case of vandalism, posting about it here is low priority. Revert it first, anyone can do so. If the vandal created a new page, tag it for deletion. Assume good faith and consider leaving a message on that user's talk page to explain the reason. Post here only if the user has made several disruptive edits and/or persists despite a warning. Always avoid a revert war with the vandal; it is far better to wait until an admin has a chance to intervene.

Creating a new request — vandals
  1. Edit the Vandal issues section.
  2. At the top of the list, use the {{vandal|IP address or username here}} template. Provide a short and neutral summary of the issue.
Creating a new request — non-vandal cases (e.g. user issues, page protection/undeletion, etc.)
  1. Add a new section (+) to the page and enter an appropriate title (without using templates or links) in the subject field.
  2. In the edit field, enter a short and neutral summary of the issue. Use the {{user|ip address or username here}} template to refer to users involved with the case and provide links to important pages or edits.
As a sign of courtesy, also leave a message on the talk page of any involved user.
New account requests
Users will be unable to create an account via the login page until administrators have approved their username.
  1. Edit the New username section.
  2. At the bottom of the section, add a new comment with your desired username.
An administrator will get around to adding an exception for your chosen username within a few days.

Vandal Gladiator Motoko (talkcontribs (deleted) • logsblock log)

Gladiator Motoko has been editing the Guild:We Are Six Inches Enchanted [avg] (a guild known for notoriously cheating that has been publicly disgraced by Arena Net through the removal of their gold cape), adding to their roster the names of an additional three players without supplying any evidence (despite being prompted to). Five of the initial six names (excluding Kyle as Swagboy Kyle) listed as their core roster have been confirmed to correspondence with the players aliases. For example the account under name Swagboy Johnson the same account as Casters Cry (Nate) and Nate was leader and core player for [avg] in the weeks preceding the June Monthly Automated Tournament (MAT), at the time of the MAT account of Swagboy Rayqwan was the same account holding T I M I N A T I O N (Tim) and was known to be a core player for [avg] in the weeks preceding the MAT, Swagboy Smithie demonstrated ownership of the account under the name "Old Kobe", and publicly admitted under the Old Kobe alias that he played the MAT with [avg] and so on.

Caution should be practiced when posting potentially libelous material, Motoko has provided no evidence supporting his three claims and should be expected to provide more than hearsay or other weak forms of evidence to support claims so potentially defaming. Once I noticed Motoko had added his three names I contacted those three players in Guild Wars to confirm their participation with [avg] in the June MAT (since Motoko provided no evidence) and each player denied participation and claimed to not have been consulted or warned about their names entering [avg]'s core roster. I then returned the [avg] page to its former state but it was soon after edited again by Motoko who had re-added his three names, still without evidence. I changed the page back to its former state again and added a warning that evidence ought to be provided when making a defaming claim (especially on a Wiki), and posted on Gladiator Motoko's talk page asking to provide evidence or desist in reediting the page. Motoko again re-added the three names to the roster and claimed his edits were "rigorous confirmations", but still provided no evidence.

I ask that Motoko be sanctioned and the [avg] page be restored. I think that libel should be taken seriously and that wiki pages are not the right places to adhere to hearsay and indulge in speculation. Thank you for your time in this matter. regards, Hadley. --The preceding unsigned comment was added by 86.51.26.19 (talk) at 13:06, 4 July 2014‎ (UTC).
