[edit] Command line arguments
Guild Wars supports several startup parameters that can be used to alter the game's behaviour. For a complete list and instructions on how to use these see command line arguments.
[edit] Unsupported graphics cards
| Warning: Running Guild Wars with any other computer that does not meet the system requirements is completely unsupported by ArenaNet and NCSoft. |
[edit] Intel
- Guild Wars Guru - moriz - [Guide] Intel GMA Performance Tweaks (Intel GMA3100 graphics card, requires the third-party program 3D-Analyze).
[edit] Non-Windows operating systems
| Warning: Running Guild Wars on a non-Windows operating system, or with any other computer that does not meet the system requirements, is completely unsupported by ArenaNet and NCSoft. |
[edit] Linux
While the Guild Wars client requires DirectX and has not been ported to any system other than Microsoft Windows, it is possible to play it on Linux using Wine or CrossOver.
[edit] Apple
Apple computers based on Intel microchips should also be able to run the Guild Wars client using Wine. This has not been tested and no guide is available at this time. Also CrossOver can be used and supports Guild Wars on MacOS. Otherwise, dual-booting into Windows with Boot Camp is another option, although this requires the user to exit OS X.
