Life Infusion Issue -- 19:09, 2 March 2008 (UTC)
- Issue
- since it is a projectile it means it is not guaranteed damage
- Suggestion
- increase projectile speed like Water Trident
- lower recharge to 8
Poor skill
- Issue
- Do I really need to say why? TBH though, it's more the whole smiting line than this skill, but it could still use a buff (15 sec recharge is too long for the damage).
- Suggestion
- Slight rework, like:
- Spear of Light. 5 1 8 .
- Spell. Spear of Light flies twice as fast toward target foe and deals 20...44...50 holy damage if it hits. Spear of Light deals +5...17...20 damage and causes Blindness for 1...3...4 seconds if it hits an attacking foe.
- Since it's called "Spear of Light" I think the skill would still make sense like this, and it would give a monk another way of defending themselves too.
- Personally, I think more smiting skills should have passive defense clauses and suchlike, like a mix of attack and disabling and whatnot (i.e. you're blinding someone, which is agressive, but inadvertantly protecting yourself. Also things like Smite Hex are on the right track too).
- The decreased recharge on this skill would make it a lot more useable, the increased flight speed would make it more reliable, and the blind would give it more utility. To make up for this the damage has been decreased so it's not over-powerful.
Potential Buff Idea
- Issue
- I honestly love this skill but it really is weak in comparison to most attack spells.
- Suggestion
- Change Functionality
- Spear of Light. 5 1 8 .
- Spell. throw a Spear of Light that moves twice as fast and causes blindness for 0...4...5 seconds. Inflicts 15...63...75 holy damage if it hits a attacking foe.
- I personally would consider taking this along even with a Prot/Heal build for defense against Melee. And because the damage is completely conditional, It is more suited to defence instead of offence.
