- Issue
- The flat damage bonus produces a wildly inconsistant effect. For example, against an AL 60 target with max rank in the Ebon Vanguard title, Fire Storm at 16 Fire Magic gains a 40.5% damage bonus, while Spirit Rift at 16 Channeling Magic gains a mere 10.6% damage bonus. As such, the skill is disproportionately powerful for parties with large numbers of barragers and / or ADoT elementalists. Furthermore, the damage bonus has no effect on armor ignoring damage, making it useless for mesmers, spirit bombers and smiting monks, and nearly useless for non-minion necromancers. In summary, the skill rewards profession stacking and discourages profession and build diversity.
- Suggestions
- Change functionality to "Ward Spell. You plant an Ebon Battle Standard of Honor at your current location. For X seconds, all allies in this area deal Y% more damage and an additional Z% more damage vs. Charr.", make the ward affect armor-ignoring damage, including damage from hexes.
