Awesome Idea. 68.60.239.224 23:47, 19 June 2008 (UTC)

Bad idea; sounds nearly exact to paragons. az :D 15:09, 20 June 2008 (UTC)
I support this, but Paragons may kill this class simply by existing. Hopefully this class and its mounts live to at least be considered. You have my support. Do moderators even read these suggestions? Phill Gaston 02:02, 5 July 2008 (UTC)
I believe so. az :D 02:47, 5 July 2008 (UTC)
If mounts are to exist in GW:2 then they won't be class exclusive, sorry dude.
I like lancer to but I think it should more or less be an extension of a Paragon or vise versa. Like how Guild Wars should have 2 handed axes, swords and Yes spears and have one handed hammers. But then again thats just my opinion. Yozuk
I tried to make this class as far away from paragon as I could. When I was coming up with this Idea, I was thinking about the ancient Chinese spearmen and how they were trained strictly and learned to master the spear/lance in close range. --PCGamer07 23:42, 27 July 2008 (UTC)

Too much maplestory.

GuildWars promotes the whole magical idea, but your going for that spirit-ey type attack/s00per aura blaster thingy like. Your skills are WAY overpowered, and little things like that cause good ideas to see and early demise. Please try to be more reasonable with your skill ideas.

I agree, my skills might have been a bit overpowering. I was only trying to create some sweet unique skills. Whether or not Anet will take this class is completely up to them :) --PCGamer07 23:42, 27 July 2008 (UTC)

Room for Improvement.

Exellent idea, but slightly overpowered. Bring down the skill's power a little bit and you'd have one sweet profession. The mounts, however, would probably have to be removed even if ANet decides to put them in the game, but if they do, when you get one, you'll be deadly. Despite this, though, the profession certainly should at least be considered.

Freelance Acolyte

I agree, but I will not spend any more time tweaking the skills, I think that would be the job for Anet IF they accept this profession and put it into GW2. --PCGamer07 21:47, 29 July 2008 (UTC)

this idea is pretty good. frankly the name lancer isn't very creative for someone that uses a lance..... you just added an R the idea itself though is very good other than the mount, it makes things a little unfair for the other professions, but giving them a pet and having the ability to mount as a stance would be very cool. all in all i like this idea and agree they should make something like this. oh another thing the paragon-relativity thing..... they can take out paragon, dervish, assassin, and ritualist to replace them with similar professions like lancer (although getting rid of derv and rit would just suck), keep in mind that that is another possibility.--Animus 05:56, 15 August 2008 (UTC)animus

Thanks for the critique. I don't think GW will still have the old classes, but some really neat classes like the Dervish might still exist, only altered a bit because of the time. And that's why I introduced new classes that can pretty much substitute for the old ones. I love the idea of having a pet and having the ability to mount it, I think that would make the Lancer extremely deadly. And about the name, I just wanted a basic name for a spear wielder that was catchy. --PCGamer07 12:05, 15 August 2008 (UTC)

sorry but i still don't like the name, my personal suggestion is to call them "dragoons". but the name lancer isn't too bad either, i'm just saying that i like the name dragoon and many people think of them as dragon-warrior thing... the name dragoon just sounds a lot like dragon, but actually they are pretty much what you described on this page.--Animus 18:55, 20 August 2008 (UTC)animus

Hmm...but I know that there has been complaints that if they are dragon-warrior, it's too close to being friends with dragons and dragons are bad in GW. Which might complicate things a bit. --PCGamer07 21:19, 20 August 2008 (UTC)

how about cavaliers?--Animus 07:34, 28 August 2008 (UTC)

Cavaliers? Horses? Still a no in my opinion. azaleachat 18:29, 28 August 2008 (UTC)
i just thought that it would fit with "mount mastery".--Animus 05:13, 29 August 2008 (UTC)
It would, but no. I'd rather not have mounts. It'd be way too much unlike Guild Wars. azaleachat 18:18, 29 August 2008 (UTC)
