Uhm, why do you want to nerf a balanced skill like this? Dark Morphon(contribs) 17:48, 19 June 2008 (UTC)
- That's not a nerf, and rend enchantments is not balanced. 5 energy to remove all prots and utility? Nice joke. People have only put up with it because it's been in the game for so long. ~Shard 21:39, 24 August 2008 (UTC)
- Agreed. It also makes skillful use of cover enchantments a lot less valueable since they can just knock them all off in a single go. The suggested change would be a good idea, and in fact the skill would still be able to take off most enchants if you specced into it. Possibly change it to 10 instead/as well. --The preceding unsigned comment was added by User:86.27.136.194 (talk).
- I would rather them scale the removal of enchantments (1...6) with the attribute points with a 50% chance of failure at 4 points or less. - jayce 64.20.145.25 06:25, 2 September 2008 (UTC)
- I guess decreasing the number of enchantments would be a good idea... maybe 2...5...6? That way it would still be roughly as powerful at high levels, except in extreme circumsatnces (who actually has more than ~6 enchantments on them in one go very often?). I still think it needs at least 10, though, since most (all, I think) other non-elite multiple enchantment removers are, at least (e.g. Strip Enchantment, Gaze of Contempt, Expunge Enchantments, even Chillblains et.c.). --The preceding unsigned comment was added by User:81.107.195.55 (talk).
- Umm...nobody has more than 2 enchantments on them unless they're getting spiked. It should be 0...4 at the very most. Honestly, as it is now, rend should be an elite. ~Shard 07:38, 25 November 2008 (UTC)
- The number of enchants removed already scales, but it needs more attribute investment scaling. Right now, you can use this skill with no attribute investment and knock off 5 enchantments at once. When I run dual attune air, I use elemental attunement covered by air attunement covered by aura of restoration. Those skills cost 30 energy, my elite slot, and a 45 second recharge. And currently this skill can knock them all off in one second for 5 energy and 20 second recharge and no additional downside or penalty, and it doesn't even require attribute investment.
