The numbers on this skill can still be altered to make it more or less powerful. It is just meant as a general idea, to make a Paragon more of a direct healer instead of a 'heal for insane amounts, but praying it activates at the right time' healer. Nicky Silverstar 07:35, 25 February 2008 (UTC)
I can agree the change would make this skill less effective for groups with large ammounts of paragons but for 10 energy it's not very effectice for a single paragon to use it all. I'd keep your suggestion of 10...15s but make it cure the target ally and all allies nearby(or maby adjancent) to the target.(Marsc 16:12, 26 February 2008 (UTC))
- @Marsc thats known as 'buffing' not nerfing... if you make it area it becomes 10x more abuseable then before 76.26.189.65 11:05, 27 February 2008 (UTC)
- Suggestion sucks at "to make a Paragon more of a direct healer instead of a 'heal for insane amounts, but praying it activates at the right time' healer.". These paragon echoes have 1 sec cast times. They will never be skills triggered at the right time. Also having to reapply 1 sec cast echo every 10 seconds cuts about 17.5% of spear DPS alone. Not to mention how many other casts the motivation paragon has. The spear DPS of paragon that casts all the time is near 0. You are trying to make paragon a ghetto monk. This suggestion of yours is like Spotless Soul, except it has 1 sec cast instead of 0.25 sec one, removes 3 conditions instead of 5 and it is CONDITIONAL. Anyway, it blows. If these suggestions get implemented, why not just take another monk on the team? --89.142.106.87 18:24, 1 March 2008 (UTC)
- Because this one has 106 base armor? The Paragon can do damage, yes, but originally, he was supposed to be able to support too. Motivation is all about party support. So change the numbers if you like, I don't mind, but saying how much DPS you lose is really not an issue, since Motivation Paragons don't attack as much compared to Leaderships/Commando's anyway. - having a paragon only for a few def shouts is a waste when his spear can add 100~200 dmg on spikes and provide 30~60 dps pressure 76.26.189.65 14:59, 6 March 2008 (UTC)
- That depends on your point of view. Nicky Silverstar 15:38, 6 March 2008 (UTC)
- Yeah? Everyone knows investing in spear is better than stupid support skills like this one. Unless Izzy really does some major overhaul of a bunch of useless skills, you will never see a paragon without spear mastery. And after all...this suggested skill of yours will never be a viable choice. Instead of investing in 10 motivation, I can do 10 healing prayers on P/Mo and get Spotless soul which is unconditional, better, and casts faster. Paragon's defensive support skills should have as little as possible in a way of duplicated functionality of monk and ritualist skills, because they will never be able to compete in that. AL gain and energy gain skills gave them something to do that monks or ritualists can't. Now those are gone and so we are completely reliant on spear being good DPS to be viable. --89.142.68.225 14:33, 8 March 2008 (UTC)
- Then you haven't read what I wrote. Spotless Soul doesn't remove a condition instantly, but only after the first 3 seconds have passed, it's an enchantment (this cannot be removed half way, probably won't happen, but still), and the numbers on the skill can still be altered to make this skill worth bringing. I am making these suggestions in order to TRY and improve the supportive side of the Paragon. So let's try and discuss the same thing here. Not everyone is offensive minded, some of us (like me) would like to play more defensively. I know spears are great. I'd like Motivation to be at least 80% worth of spears in a balanced team. That is MY point of view. Nicky Silverstar 09:15, 10 March 2008 (UTC)
- I would love to see motivation viable on level of spear mastery, but these suggestion won't do it, they nerf it. For instance if you wanna do this, all Finale suggestions need a bit of ooomph. Like Purifying Finale: raise duration to 25 sec and add effect "conditions expire 50% faster". You see: on a multi paragon team, the condition removals will get burned out fast, echo will expire and so 50% shorter conditions won't last as long. :) --89.142.137.2 20:38, 12 March 2008 (UTC)

- I am always open to suggestions better than mine. I just want to get the discussion rolling, the good suggestions will come eventually. Nicky Silverstar 08:38, 14 March 2008 (UTC)
