Ideally this would not overshadow Forceful Blow (5 adrenaline) after either buff. The problem is Forceful Blow isn't as good as Devastating Hammer with regard to showing Hammer's strengths. --Life Infusion «T» 01:19, 29 February 2008 (UTC)
- Because Warriors don't have skills that inflict cracked armor (as I remember?) and this condition perfectly fits to hammers (blunt damage ignores armor more than other types of damage), I would love to see bad hammer skills buffed with causing cracked armor! :D So with the same stats just add a short duration of cracked armor like: 4...9...10 seconds. - I think this skill could have cracked armour if it was more conditional a skill description like this could work: if this attack hits target foes suffers from weakness, if target foe suffers from deep wound and weakness this skill causes cracked armour for 3..6...10 seconds.(Marsc 00:28, 23 March 2008 (UTC))
- A little late to the party, but life, the whole "cracked armour don't belong to melee" argument is getting tiring. Cracked armor, as it stands, is worthless. A pressure condition like that, it will only ever make sense in melee, and Anet's choice to put all the cracked armor skills in midline is just a joke. Cracked armor, thus, will be a joke, just a joke until melee can apply it reliably. Back to the issue, staggering needs some oomph. It is made to be a primer skill, but it makes no sense as a primer, as Devhammer and pulverizing work well enough as primers for fierce and heavy. It needs either cracked armor so it can prime BB, or needs a total rework. Hmm.. staggering... how about: 10a/0/0 Hammer attack. If this attack hits, target foe is knocked down and you suffer from weakness for 10 seconds. Meh - just throwing out ideas. Reviving this: Barbed Spear at 2a, Sever @ 4a, Dismember at 5a, lol Staggering @ 6a? Surely something can be done here. ~Seef II <ℹ|۞> 08:22, 2 August 2008 (UTC)
