May i ask why you keep removing the Abbreviations catorgary from the pages? --Neil • 19:32, 10 January 2011 (UTC)
- Isn't it obvious? These pages are not Abbreviations.
- No. they are. So stop it. --Neil • 19:34, 10 January 2011 (UTC)
- Do explain. In what way they are?
- Abbreviated from the actual skill, no?--Neil • 19:35, 10 January 2011 (UTC)
- I am sorry, but you are wrong. Please pay closer attention to the names of these pages. In each and every case these are regular non-abbreviated words.
- I am sorry, but stop it. --Neil • 19:37, 10 January 2011 (UTC)
- Just logged in. I was finished, really. Then you came along. Perhaps there is a way to remove these pages from the Abbreviations category? Is it a matter of procedure, consensus, perhaps discussion is in order on the Abbreviations talk page, moving this there.--AtzaMan 19:41, 10 January 2011 (UTC)
- "This article is not limited to redirect pages. Definition articles which are named using an abbreviation (either because there's no agreed-upon longer name or because it's just very much more commonly used) can also be categorized here." - This is odd. You are quoting something that was written on the category page listing Abbreviations. This however is misleading. The page should be renamed to better suit it's full purpose, like Abbreviations & Redirect pages/Disambiguations, but that would be too long, wouldn't it? I suggest we clear up the page to what it should obviously contain. Abbreviations. Please. A quote from GWW:Formatting : "Categories are mainly used to allow the browsing of similar articles. Always consider the structure of categories from the user's point of view."
- Rename to Category:Shorthand? - HeWhoIsPale 19:57, 10 January 2011 (UTC)
- ^Took my only suggestion. To be honest, there are some category trees in this wiki that are scary to travel down. If you're daring enough to reorganize them, create a page (potentially on your user-space), outlining what you want to accomplish. It'll be there so others can jump in if the wiki's about to be broken, or if they're confused as to what's going on. G R E E N E R 20:00, 10 January 2011 (UTC)
- This is pretty much the category for Abbreviations, which is clearly defined as to how we want to use it. --JonTheMon 20:01, 10 January 2011 (UTC)
