Brazilian guilds are missing!
Wars: Nation agains nation?[edit]
It is proposed to completely remove categorisation by nationality or territory from Wiki. Wiki should be a collaboration not a segregation tool. We do not want Guild Wars to become virtual national wars, do we? --The preceding unsigned comment was added by User:HH LEADER (talk).
- Wiki categorisation and organisation based on nationality != war. -- Brains12 \ talk 16:45, 18 August 2008 (UTC)
Wanted or not the Game is called Guild Wars. Actively promoting categorization guilds by nationality within Wiki especially with coming up Guild Wars 2 (GW II) release where Game Universe will be persistent and war will be constant such categorization going to revitalize and encourage mental Nation against Nation war stereotype within virtual Game Universe. Most importantly there is no basis for categorization by real people nationality in any game at all. GW 2 will have imaginable nations and we should leave it at that. Creating and actively promoting mental stereotypes for maintaining real nationality bindings to the Guilds identity is an irresponsible thing to do. Young generation may not understand that especially those who had no relatives lost in WW II. Let's not make GW 2 == WW 2 in game world.HH LEADER 13:10, 19 August 2008 (UTC)
- HELLO???? It's the users of the wiki who have created the nationality categories, it's what THEY want, it's not some evil plot by ArenaNet or any admin that has done this. All you have to do is look at the page histories of the nationality categories and you will see they have been created by random wiki users, most likely who wanted to categorize their guild page by their nationality. People want to be able to easily find guilds that share their nationality, and categorization is the easiest way to do it. This is NOT a political or moral platform, just a simple filing system. Why you are trying to make it into something it isn't is totally beyond my comprehension. -- Wyn 13:16, 19 August 2008 (UTC)
