This spell consumes all of your remaining Energy.


Though not really a terrible or even bad skill, Rebirth suffers from a lack of use outside high end PvE and group farming. It is used mostly as a recovery-resurrection, for when an important group member has died in the middle of mobs and needs to be resurrected. This is really the only practical use for the skill; since it drains the user's energy and disables the skills of the resurrected party member it is highly impractical as a mid-battle resurrection skill. With the addition of Scrolls of Resurrection, Rebirth has become even more unappealing, as it is now more practical to bring another resurrection skill such as Resurrection Chant or Death Pact Signet and use a Scroll of Resurrection to retrieve dead party members from among mobs.

Since the biggest down-side to Rebirth is probably the fact that it drains all energy following use, the most logical way to increase the appeal would be to lessen this penalty to only 50%. To compensate for the retention of some energy, a small recharge would be added to control use.

It is important to remember that it is unlikely that someone will be casting Rebirth at full energy if a teammate has fallen during a battle. Also, it is 50% of maximum energy, and not simply current energy. As well, the 50% of max energy is always consumed, meaning if Rebirth is cast at below 50% max energy, all remaining energy will be consumed, as opposed to simply reducing energy to the 50% marker.
