The self-support attribute of the assassin. This suggestion is to improve the defensive capabilities and self-managment skills.
5 ¼ 15 Spell. Shadow step to a nearby location directly away from target foe. Inflict blindness condition (1...4...5 second[s]) to adjacent foes.
Shadow Shroud 5 1 15 Elite Enchantment spell (10 seconds). You gain +4...9...10 health regeneration and damage from spells you receive is reduced by 15...35...40%. Initial effect: adjacent foes shadow step directly away from your location. End effect: adjacent foes are knocked down.
5 15 Stance (1...4...5 second[s]). You have 75% chance to block. End effect: inflicts blindness condition (1...3...3 second[s]) to adjacent foes.
To begin with Shadow Form. It has been the nr.1 farming and SC skill since it was invented. Having been nerfed countless of times it just needs a complete function overhaul to be fixed. I removed the anti-spell effect and changed it's damage reduction and gave it health regeneration, it now heals the user whenever the user hits with an attack and gives defense by reducing damage by %. The damage reduction combined with the healing helps assassins last longer in battle. The new healing function goes very well with the rapid speed of daggers and dual attacks. When combined with an IAS any martial class can find great benefit from it's healing capabilities and it's damage reduction.
Like Shadow Form the other Shadow skills have been changed to give the assassin a larger pool of defense and/or self healing skill.
As the second elite that has been overhauled Shadow Shroud has been changed into an elite Shadow Refuge giving health regeneration on it's duration and healing as end effect. It also shadow steps all nearby foes away from your location and knocks them down as initial effect so it ends the damage on you and gives you a moment to recover.
To improve defense against physical i changed Smoke Powder Defense and Viper's Defense into 2 defensive stances with a block effect. Smoke Powder Defense now blocks attacks and inflicts blindness on it's end effect instead of reducing damage and inflicting blindess when being hit. Viper's Defense now inflicts poison whenever an attack skill is blocked instead of inflicting it on it's initial effect. With the change in function of Viper's Defense i changed the almost never used Blinding Powder to fill up it's role: shadow stepping away from a foe. It's ability to blind foes should make it more useful against attackers than the current Viper's Defense. I added a PvP version of Smoke Powder Defense and Blinding Powder to prevent complete melee shut down.
Shadow of Haste has been changed into a speedboost that heals the user. Shadowy Burden is now a cheap hex that gives healing while also meeting the conditions for the Black skills. The Death's skills now heal unconditionally.
I wanted to make a suggestion for Shadow Form only but ended up doing more than just Shadow Form. I do hope the change i suggested is an acceptable one. Further PvP versions have yet to be added if needed.
